Hi Marty, you said you just used an HV20 + Letus35 Flip + lens...how do you connect the lens to the flip? All of the research I do says that the flip should be used with an adapter, and that it's not actually a DoF adapter itself. I'd love to find a cheaper way to get this effect than a $1200 bundle.
what settings did you use for video export? It looks so delicious! That clarity for youtube is outstanding. I use Adobe Premiere. I say build your own 35mm adapter. If your good, do it for about $100.
Very nice. One of the better examples of the adapter. I still see vignetting on the corners tho. I have yet to find any footage that avoids this and I've searched ALOT. Seems like the manufacturers should solve this disappointing problem.
Hi, beautiful imagery! You say you made your own 720p monitor? I just bought the new sgpro rev3 and am now looking for a monitor but i don't have much money left. Any chance you could explain to me how to make one of these monitors?
yes its a 720p HD monitor it comes in a kit wich you must build a case for your self, but its very VERY good and alot cheaper than the other 720p monitors. do a google search for 10.6' 720p monitor kit and you should find them - regards Marty.
OK. I had a feeling that was the one you were talking about. I have looked into that already. I was hoping maybe you'd found an even easier or cheaper way to make one. Your using the samsung screen. Is it really as good as you say? How much did it cost you all up? Thanks again.
How are you powering the screen? The only thing i'm concerned about with this monitor is loading all this stuff up on your camera when you have to do a dolly shot or handheld work. You need to have the monitor on-camera for the focus puller to look at. Have you found a solution to this?
I'm living in India and they don't sell stuff like this. My parents are however bringing me an HV20 for a late-Christmas present in February and I want to buy a Letus35 and send it to them so they can bring it to me when they visit.
Exactly what all do I need to buy in the way of adapters/or whatever. I want to be completely set up because if I'm not they'll bring just the camera and the letus35 and then I'm screwed. Do I need mounts or anything like that to support the additional weight?
you'll need a tripod (unless you want it hand held all the time), rail support system, 35 mm adaptor and at least one SLR lens to put on the adaptor. - Marty.
How much does the rail support system cost and where can I find it? Also is there some sort of additional adapter I need to make sure that the HV20 connects to the Letus35 and another to connect the Letus35 to the SLR or is that already taken care of.
Nice shooting by the way. Thanks for your quick reply.
I end up after 3 days intense research - build my own DYI adapter.
Finally I understand how works, and I can make it for about $50 (spinning ground glass) ;)

Every lense creates vignetting. Trying to avoid vignetting is probably the least of your problems with one of these adapters.

prices/brands vary so you should research/google till you find the ones you want, to fit the letus you need a 43mm thread adaptor to the letus 35.
