I've been looking for this app on the market but can't find it anywhere. I tried searching for it but nothing came up. Anybody else have this problem?
NeoMedia Technologies grandfathered this technology back in the mid 90s and have been doing mobile code scanning and comparison shopping via barcodes long before any other company in this space.
NeoMedia has a rich patent portfolio that covers scanning barcodes with a camera enabled mobile device to connect to the Internet, comparison shop, and/or retrieve online content.
So NO ONE from NeoMedia has ever contacted ShopSavvy regarding our application. The only guy who has even suggested a patent violation is a crazy guy named Streetsytlz.
that's BS. you can't patent a barcode based idea. video stores do it for years. a ton of companies have done this for years for inventory search. it's just a trend now because of the usability of such feature over a mobile device, and some morons are trying to proliferate by patenting this.
Cool, do all the products bar codes have to be added to the online database, so do you need partnerships with the big retailers and supermarkets to have their bar codes be recognized by your system or is there already a worldwide standard for that?
It wont seem to focous on my phone. :(

Sure thing! Just pull up the Market app and do a search for ShopSavvy. Or you can sort by popularity, we should be towards the top.

QR Codes are much better than your "qode".

Most barcodes use either the UPC or EAN format which are both universal.
