The US didn't know of the holocaust until the war in Europe was almost over. We invaded because liberating europe was the right thing to do.

It is a wonder though why Israelites over thousands of years were prosicuted, well, now they have their own country again and look what's happening. It MAY be that many Jews prosicuted through history weren't entirely innocent although I do believe that the Holocaust was horrible, and NONE of THOSE jews deserved it.
