Well done to YBS on this occasion... they came 1st.

YBS are a good band... their performance at brass in concert 2007 was good!

I'm not a fan of Kenneth Downie's test pieces, one or 2 of his pieces are ok, but most of them dont meet my expectations of a test piece! (If you heard the 2nd section from the scottish this year you will know what i am on about!)

My favourite part is at :36 where the ENTIRE band takes a unison HUGE breath, and you see every instrument in the band raise up in the air...No wonder these guys sound like that!!! We sure don't do it like that in Canada.

You seriously think that it was a well executed clash? The perc section in YBS is the weakest link in the band. Yes it has improved much over the years, but they still have a good while to go imo.
