The context of this song & its partner, "Caramba! It's the Samba!" is they were written in a very happy, carefree time shortly after WWII. Latin music was popular, & Les Paul had just brought multi-track recording & the electric guitar to current music. Dave Barbour was a great guitarist & composer with Peggy Lee of many standards we enjoy today. No slur was intended, it's just a joyful little tune. Also, Carmen Miranda liked it so, she asked Peggy to use her(CM's) Bando da Lua to record them.
