  • what the hell is that

  • omg thats my old pc!

  • but, will it blend?

  • @chriskafaldjian101 lol for the sake of busting balls, i think that rig will blend...

  • I have a dell dimension L866r and I have the same processor, same mb of ram, but I have Win XP with 863 MHz and I got 3 hard disks: Win XP with 20.00GB, 232 GB of Extra space, and also Win XP (Messed Up) 80.00GB, and all of this is a desktop

  • windows vista slowing for using pentium III

  • Comment removed

  • how did u get the video card to work .

  • how will windows 7 run on this pc???

    80GB HDD

    1GB RAM

    Pentium 4 HT 3.06GHZ

    96mb graphics xDD

  • @Drakho001 probably need bigger hard drive depending on usage but i have a p4 3.20 ghz and 1gb ram and it runs great if you want i will put up a video instructing you on what services you can disable and beleive me there is alot if you do this you save atleast 300mb of your ram otherwise with firefox running you will be at 90% ram usage

  • is that the dell inspiron 2600? just wonderin.

  • du hast das selbe 6.1 System wie ich ^^

  • does it run smooth or slow at times?

  • good notebook!

  • @Tpavra i have just the vista for you i made it my self its only 452MB i call it ultraLiteVista i done a video on check it out if you like its recommended for Laptops or Netbook NOT RECOMMEDED FOR PC'S due to the fact that it has limited drivers support so i would only recommend to install it on laptops and netbooks

  • WOW! that takes a long time to boot if i was you i would disable some services on startup to do that you need to click START then type MSCONFIG then a window

should popup just click the services tab then uncheck the stuff you don't use

after you done that click the BOOT.INI tab then change the 30 to 10 then click apply

  • you should try slipstreaming that vista of your's with a program named

    VLITE just google it

it lets you strip down your vista installation folder and take away the shit that you don't wan't

  • i had the inspiron 4000 which is a clone of the c600. i could barely run XP on it.

  • wow this computer is mad slow!

  • hey i have the same computer

where did you get the cd?

  • I also own a P3(desktop) and going from a 5400RPM Seagate to a 7200RPM one really made the PC run faster. Also, going from 320MB of RAM to 576MB made it run really really faster(P3 800)

  • Chair noises? I thought that was the hard drive!

  • windows xp .....

    linux mandrila

  • Can I run Vista on: Intel Celeron dual core 2 Ghz, 1 GB Ram, HDD 60 GB?

  • HOLY!!!!

  • Can i install Windows Vista on my PC?

    Nvidia Geforce 8200 2x 2,2 GHZ

    512 MB Ram

    200 GB Hard Disk

    Processor:

    Amd Athlon

    Thx..

  • @Tpavra Can i run Windows Vista on my 512mb ram 930 mhz Intel Pentium III with 1 core and 20 gb hard disk with 5gb left? plz reply

  • @xCaShCoPx

You'll need a bigger hard disk to install Windows Vista, 20GB is minimum for a clean install, but you can easily get a 40GB for 5 bucks on eBay :) All rest meets the minimum requirements to run it on though.

  • @Tpavra my dad has an 80 gb but i think im gonna stick with this as long as i can run vista :) can i run win 7?

  • @xCaShCoPx

actually the win7 requirements with windows vista has same requirements...but as people said win7 is far alot better than vista...

  • @Tpavra

I've installed it on a 10 gig HDD. Vista doesn't take up the 16 gigs it says it does on the box.

  • Hey.. Can i Run Windows Vista and play Games?

    Intel Pentium 4 2600MHz

    1024MB Ram

    250GB Hard Disk

    Asus V9950 Ultra 256MB

    Thx David

  • @GForceTutorials

I guess you can play some old games on it, but with the processor/graphics and RAM amount, there wont be a lot of games you can play on it.

  • @Tpavra WRONG! 2600mhz is 2.6ghz 1024 = 1gb 250gb hard disk is enough to put vista on it and u can put all games on it

  • @fakemanoan WRONG!!!!!!!! Intel Pentium 4 2.6GHz is ancient and not the same as a later 2.6GHz processor such as the Core 2 Duo or Core i3/i5/i7 and 1GB is not ideally enough RAM to play games and run Windows Vista together!

  • @Tpavra fuck you i have 512 mb's of ram and i can play half life 2 on my pentium 3 1ghz and could play it on a p4 2.8 ghz that i have so fuck you i3 i5 and i7 where bombs any ways.

  • @fakemanoan fakemanon ur hillarious or in otherwords U ARE DUMB IN COMPUTERS

  • @fakemanoan oh god seriously, WITH 1 GB pentium 4 and windows vista, i bet this guy cant play sims 3 flawlessly. lolol

  • @fakemanoan Man, you know fuck all about what your talking about...

  • @GForceTutorials install win 7 or keep win xp!!!

  • @GForceTutorials you can play older stuff like battlefront pretty well

  • @GForceTutorials That's a good config. I use Windows 7 and I find it much better than Vista.

  • @GForceTutorials i had similar setup with better video card nv8500 and slightly better cpu p4 ht with 512mb of ram and played tons of games on it just be aware some bigger games like nba2k9 gears of war and so on will need ram but they run great just takes a while for them to stop accessing the paiging file on your hdd and installs can take forever as well i really donot no about your video card as i`ve only used nvidia the few times i`ve had to use onboard sucked for anything other than emu

  • @GForceTutorials i don't think so...u need a 2gb ram or up

  • @GForceTutorials it should work..........but not for hardcore games

  • @GForceTutorials yes you can

  • wow. lol

  • i have a p3 700 mhz laptop imb t20

with 512 mb ram sd ram max

    and 11.5 gb hdd lol

  • GET LINUX

  • hello... can anyone answer my question... where could i look up to see about replacing the cpu on the dell latitude c600...purchased one and wanted to up grade the unit... any help r appreciated...

  • @skaman125

first find out what CPU socket it uses (CPU-Z) and then buy a processor that uses that socket and is faster. screw the unit open, find the processor, take it out, fit the new one, new cooler, and done

  • can this work on a dell c810 512mb RAM SDRAM PC133 CPU 1133MHz

  • @anthon919 i have also a laptop with sd ram max 512 mb and have win xp

p3 700 mhz but i dont wanne install win 7 the hard drive has only 11.5 gb i dont think thats enef lol

  • Seriously go back to xp vista was build to suck

  • can i run vista on mp pc 512mb ram 30 gig 2.4 ghz prosesor ?? plz anser

  • @mikescarface1 You can, but you wont be able to do much more than just browse the internet really.

  • @Tpavra can i run vista on 512 mb ram,80 gb hard disk 2.5 ghz processor???

plz answer as fast as possible!!!

  • @MasterXStudio Yes you should be able to, try the Win Vista Upgrade advisor :)

  • @Tpavra tnx man a lot!

  • @Tpavra win7 is better lol!

  • @mikescarface1 but why in the world would anyone ever want to run vista on ANY pc, regardless of the specs?

  • Wauw nice rigg !! i have the phenom II x4 940 @ 3,7 Ghz 4 gig DD2 800 asrock aod790GX motherboard and 8800 GTS 640 mb 500 gig and 320 gig HDD and 600 watts power sup ,

    lol

  • @MegaHolymoly I know for sure it's not nvidia or ati. i downloaded both drivers and tried to install them but i got an error so it must be some other low budget crap. the computer company everex closed in the USA and they built shit desktops

  • My other computer I bought in 2007, it has 512mb ram I don't even know what video card, no program can detect it rofl, 1.0 experience index... slightly better than yours, and Vista Home Basic. It works good when it wants to lol.

  • @jameswx09 Take out out the card and look at it. Or if its integrated look to see if it says nvidia or ATI

  • Damn i did a bad bios flash on my main computer so now i have to use my Pentium 3 733MHz (Overclocked to 825MHz {Coppermine Core}), 512MB PC133 SDRAM, Sapphire Ati Radeon 9800 PRO 128MB 256Bit, and i had a 20GB HDD but it broke so now i'm using a Seagate 6.4 GB HDD & Windows 98 Second Edition lol :D

  • This is mad. Can you move the cursor or does it lag like hell?

  • Hey nice job. Your computer has what it needs to run windows vista home basic. Just make sure you update your drivers.

  • Hey check my specs on my page... could I run vista?

  • You'll need more RAM and a faster processor, but Windows 7 is faster than Vista, so if you upgrade to 512MB+ of RAM and a faster processor, you'll be able to run Windows 7 most likely.

Drivers are another issue, have to make sure all hardware is compatible with Windows 7 before trying :)

  • Ohshi~

  • 2 min boot time! ouch!

im running my laptop w/ win 7 64bit and 2gb ram getting a <14 second cold boot.

send me a message if u really want to kno how!

  • OMG!

  • why the hell install win vista & 7 to this pc? just use Linux or XP...

  • Because Windows 7 is fantastic on this laptop, and Windows XP / Linux are both outdated, old looking and rubbish, lol

  • Um Linux outdated??

  • Laptop now has Windows 7 Home Basic installed.

  • good. ts faster right?

  • Much faster, it boots faster, and runs a lot quicker than it ever did on Windows Vista! =)

  • Windows 7 is on the upgrade plan, once I got all my main computers upgraded, that will be next.

  • some1 help me i got a pentium 3 windows xp proffesional service pack 3 448mhz,256mb i know its a bad pc but its only temporarily(srry bad english )because my good pc crashed not my fualt.i want to update but i cant.i got a intel program that says wich product i got from intel. it sais pentium 3 448mhz . then i got a intel program that searches updates for your pc and helps you installl em.but that program sais:This computer does not meet the minimum requirements to do software installation.

  • If the computer is running fine, just run Windows Updates, and everything should be fine.

  • This computer still has Windows Vista Home Basic installed, it is even faster and much more usable on SP1/SP2!

  • 1:45 for boot ?

Windows xp with 512mo of ram boot in 30 seconds !

  • That is because 1st) That is because XP is 6 years older than vista. (Vista requires minimum 512/1GB of RAM to run and XP only needs 64/128MB RAM to run) 2nd) You didn't say your RAM, Hard drive and CPU speed (Vista requires 1GHz CPU speed to run, XP only needs needs 233MHz = 0.23GHz CPU speed to run) (Vista requires 20GB of free Hard drive space while XP only needs 1.5GB.

  • this is my second oldest desktop

    Intel Pentium 3 1.13GHz

    512mb SDRam

ati rage 128 pro 32mb graphics

    40gb hdd

windows xp home edition sp3 (recently installed)

    Dell Optiplex GX150

  • this is my second oldest desktop

    it's a intel pentium 3 1.13ghz with 512mb ram

it has windows xp home edition sp3 (recently installed)

and has 40gb hdd with ati rage 128 pro 32mb graphics

is this good for windows vista home basic?

  • But can it do anything other than idle?

  • It can, currently making an update video, showing some of the things it can do.

  • im running win xp on pentium m 1.73 ghz 1.5 gb ram 40 gb hdd 5400 rpm

  • does the laptop get hotter faster with vista?

  • Temperature stays about the same. No real difference.

  • my dad got an old laptop.... intel pentium 3 500mhz... it is a SONY VAIO... but my dad dumped it few weeks ago

  • Thats almost a bootup of 2 mins lol

  • i have an intel pentium 3 running 328mbs or ram the current os is windows 98se,and i want to do something creative with it does anyone have any ideas?

  • Try a bit of Linux on that like Ubuntu or another distribution.

  • thanks i put xubuntu on it works great!!!!!!

  • what about vista ultimate.... will it work on your pc

  • Probably, but will look, and feel the same as basic.

  • super slow pc..

  • Try running Windows 7 on that machine!

I think that you will be surprised by the end result!

  • Dude 512 mb of ram is to low for vista if you want vista to run really good upgrade your ram to about 4 gb than it will run really smooth

  • Your full of shit it does not take 4GB of ram to run Vista it runs great with 2GB

  • 2GB on vista is nice, but if playing games like GTA 4 on vista I suggest 3GB+, all though 2GB works fine.

  • A cheaper way is to optimize your software to handle and spend computer resources more efficiently and usefully.

  • well not all old computers can have 4 gigs of ram

  • Yes your are right.

    Mine have 3 Gigs

  • I am lucky I have a dell latitude c640 with intel pentium 4 at 2.0ghz max ram at 1gb and hdd of 120gb and 32mb graphics ati mobility radeon with a max of 256mb dedicated ram using ati tool. I am running vista on it an boots quickly =)

  • its stupid slow

  • well myne is faster but when i try to open games it says some thing like video memory

  • hey myne is

    intel pentium 4 2GHz

    631RAM

    40GB HDD

and the Graphic driver is not working for games Can you helpp me plz

  • what kind of graphics card are you running?

  • Intel Pentium 4 2.00GHz - 632MB RAM

    256 or 64

  • my graphic driver software does not work for vista it says some thing about the os

  • cool lol

  • Lucky, I have a pentium, the first one...but I primarily use a Q9400.

  • omg your boot faster then mine mine spec is:

intel centrino 2 core 1.80 Ghz

original RAM is 2 gigs i upgrade to 3 so i have

    3 gigs of RAM now

designed for microsoft windows xp but i use vista work fine.

  • 3 gigs!!! myne is 631mb and it is faster than hem you must do some thing

  • the full computer spec are intel centrino 2 core 1.80 Ghz

    100 G Hard drive

    3 gigs of RAM

    intel grapice card

designed for microsoft windows xo pro but i install windows vista ultimate working fine he boot faster than mine!

  • mine take like 50 sec to get to login screen take only 10 sec to log in take 1 min to load all praogram

  • if yo dont like vista use windows last xp

  • lol i think i have the same logitech speakers

  • 1:24 HDD Reading sound?

  • how old is this computer

  • It was bought in November 2001 with the original version of XP.

  • i have a Intel Pentium 4 and 1 gig of ram so i dont get why its so slow at loading at first

  • That does look like a Dell Latitude laptop. Ive got one of those. Mines a Dell Latitude ML6227B with 128mb RAM and an 1Ghz Pentium 3 with an 4MB onboard graphics card. Windows XP Professional Sp3 runs OK on it. Its a brill laptop for internet and work, also minor gaming. I use it daily

  • how can you use that for gaming hope it's like emulators and what not or solitaire lol.

  • Looks like an old version of dell latitude notbook

  • dude slow that down

  • pretty fast for this hadware!

  • wow lol slooow

  • OMG

  • Try Linux ;-)

  • jees thats slow 27 strokes?

  • cann't you see it take about 2 minutes to start up it really really sucks... why dont he uses Simple Window XP SP2...

My advise to all of (Pentium 3 Users) just use Window XP Professional 2002 SP2 and you will find it really really faster then it.

  • I am using a 512MB ram vista now, I have to say, Ive installed Registry cleaners and cleaned its viruses and all problems out, and still this Shit is slow as hell.

Besides of Putting in more Memory and a different Graphics card.

You cant trust a 512MB Ram Computer..

  • same and i paid $500 for my frikkin comp, so pissed off you can't do anything to fix its speed

  • Most registry cleaners add more bad stuff.

    and 512MB ram is NOTHING

  • ese no es el vista es solo una mascara

  • Sorry?

  • I think he said "It's not Vista, it's only a skin / theme."

  • Then he has no idea what he is talking about. This is full Vista basic.

  • i had vista on my 512mb ram notebook and it ran like shit .

by the time you install antivirus software and and everything else you need you will be lucky if it runs at all.

i would recommend no less that 1gb of ram min even for vista basic.

  • I installed anti-virus on 512MB RAM and I get error such as not enough memory. I still runs loggy and slow with 2GB DDR2 and a 2ghz t7200 core 2 duo.

  • what??!?!?!?! dude! 2gigs of ram could run vista and leopard at the same time! lol!

and the core 2 duo is more than capable of running vista.

something is fucked up with your machine and it ain't your memory and processor.

  • A virus fucked my my system files?

  • could be a number of things.like..

    a virus

a corrupted or damaged hard drive

    a bad motherboard

i can't say for sure what is wrong with your machine but i can say that with those specs your machine has more than enough power to run vista or any other operating system for that matter.

try reinstalling vista or replacing the hard drive

  • I back up my PC to factory settings (Entry 1st use) and man it runs like a rocket!

  • :p get avast it boots with the Pc not againts it :p

  • runs it windows aero??

if it is can you tell me how?

  • Its Vista Basic it does not have Aero!

  • yea

  • it does have animation for closing and opening but it does support aero because im using it

  • i mean it does not have animations but it does have areo style

  • cool but i have an amd duron 804 mhz would it still work???

  • providing you have enough RAM (1GB or more for realistic use), then yes, it will do.

  • I have that laptop >_>

  • You should try Windows 7 BETA Build 7000 on that Laptop! I dont know but I woyld think you would see a speed increase there!

  • Ill give it a try sometime soon and put a video of it.

  • were i can download the audio driver?

  • Download the Windows XP sound driver and install them manuall via device manager.

  • It's getting to be quite a trend to see how old of a computer people can get Vista running on!

I just got Vista running on a 450 MHz AMD K6-2 with 256 MB of RAM! Slow as heck...

  • i have a problem , i don't remember the password for mine. theres no admin account, can i delete all info on the hard drive without logging on?

  • I am going to get Vista32bit Home Basic for my rig. Keep things simple lol. I do wish w2k was supported more, because it is the perfect OS for gaming, old and new. I mean, it plays games old without trouble, and new games just fine. But some new games are only meant for xp and vista. But overall W2K is best for gaming,

if you use xp and vista, you better have enough ram and a powerful rig to be able to fully use it

  • A Pentium III and up can pretty much run any OS. But try gaming on XP or Vista with low speed using a Intel P3, and you will run into trouble.

On a last note, Windows 2000 is the best OS.

  • Hellz yea, Win 2k ftw...

  • 2000 is cool, but since it's old not many new things are compatible with it.

  • in my computer runs vista great with aero 996 mhz compaq haha-_- i play all wat i need with my pc pentium!!! intel graphics 28215 i love vista i buyt the pc 100 euro

  • Running vista too on:

    Intel Core 2 Quad Q9300 3.6Ghz (OC)

    Nvidia Geforce 8800GT 512MB

    6GB DDR2 Ram

  • im running vista on: AMD Athlon 4200X2 2.50ghz, 4gb RAM, 128mb vRAM

  • Not bad at all.

I need to get a video of my main desktop booting Vista (Q9450/8GB RAM/Radeon HD4850X2 video)

  • my computer doesnt have enough ram to install windows vista how do i get more?

  • Buy more RAM?

  • Shut up! I have a computer with a Pentium II MMX that runs Vista. It's slow, but it runs.

  • OHH men people pleasse don't install Vista Ultimate!!! do you fucking know how fucking much proces its running when you do nothing at all??? if you really want Vista go for Vista basic! thats very good..

  • I have vista basic... really basic

But still, its not vista starter

  • lol i bet i bet vista can't run well on a computer from 1999, I have a PowerMac G4 which has been running Panther, Tiger and leopard perfectly fine. Vista has issues with computers older than 24 Months
