@IsThis4Entertainment Honestly, I think it's just the format. I think if you had panel shows like this in Canada and the US they'd be just as funny as there are just as many quick-witted, hilarious comedians, they just don't get this type of environment to riff in.

In the US really good comedians have a career path towards movie stardom etc and they simply don't do panel shows, and here in Canada our comic geniuses are all in sketch comedy. I don't think this format would be possible here and even if it was the only people quick-witted enough to make it good wouldn't do it.

@kevfulchester Chris Hardwick did a panel show pilot for Comedy Central a few years ago. They didn't pick it up. It wasn't long after that that he started his Nerdist Podcast. Maybe he could get BBC America to pick it up. He's already hosting their "Ministry of Laughs and has Nerdist specials on BBCA.

@funkkyzenzei I think it works because Jimmy Carr is generally a pretty clever guy and tends to have a comeback for almost anything. His posh speaking makes it even better. Funnily enough "fuck you" is surprisingly shocking when used by him. Who would've thought?
