Not accurate on Prussia's behalf, but the feeling is close, Prussia didn't think Maria Theresa would be able to hold her lands since she was a woman, not only that, Prussia sorta had a strong need for Selesia. Frederick was willing to compromise with a friendship between the two nations, Maria Theresa turned it down, hence war started. It wasn't so much her gaining power as much as it was her being a snobbish witch.

It kinda annoys me when people say Hetalia teaches history. I guess there are facts here and there, but it doesn't really necessarily teach it; if anything, the countries being anime characters with personalities helps the information stick better. But the thing is, even if it does help you become more interested in history, and thus learn better, that interest is shallow since it's the anime (and yaoi, in most cases) you're really interested in and not actual history. Don't get me wrong, I absolutely love Hetalia, in case you couldn't tell by my name. I just get annoyed because Hetalia isn't pure, genuine history. It was never meant to be pure, genuine history, and it never will be. That is the difference between teaching it and providing a complex mnemonic device to help aid in learning it.
