@DropYouSoFast Parkour has nothing to do with flash, just getting from point A to point B really fast. What you are rpbably thinking of is Free-Running. To give you a martial arts comparison, its sort of like Krav Maga compared to Wushu. One (Krav and Parkour) are more about parctacality and pragmatism, while Wushu and Free Running are more of a sprot or pass time type thing. Though you probably wouldn't want to out run a free runner or fight a Wushu master anyways.

The difference between "Parkour" and "Free Running" is style. Parkour is more about the style and perfection of form as you execute moves, where as free running is going from point a to point b in the fastest time possible.

@kabukikitsune No, no. Free Running has more style, and Parkour is more disciplined. I read up on both histories as to see which one I would rather take up. Parkour is, simply put, getting to A to B as quickly, and creatively, as possible whilst Free Running, not necessarily the opposite, includes more flair and crowd pleasing moves. Free Running's concept is based of Parkour and is very similar; however, does not have to always have a similar path. Parkour has a spiritual aspect as well.

@NIHKUS First off, if you practice the art of displacement, you'd know that there is no "you suck, I'm better" type of feeling. It's only based on experience level. You could simply state they do not seem to have much experience. And if you did those moves in the first two weeks, you are missing something. Plus, the "basic" techniques are often the most efficient.

Why is it so hard to find footage of girls doing big kongs and precisions? No offense but practically all the moves in this video are beginner's difficulty, only the mostly clean execution shows that they're not completely new to parkour.

It's nice to see women attempt parkour but if the "Parkour Generations Academy" can't get ANY of them to perform better than me, a total noob, then something's definitely going wrong.

About traceuses - look around on youtube, it's what I did and I found maybe 3 or 4 women who were better at this stuff than I am. They're all so cautious and slow. And I repeat: I am a beginner.
