Emily! Ever since you posted this video it has been my go to fall/winter everyday look. I actually wore this look to a friends wedding last November and I got tons of compliments! I'm VERY fair skinned so I was concerned about using a dark matte color all over my lid but I'm so glad I tried it! I rarely comment on videos but I just had to let you know that I still use and LOVE this look! :)

@emilynoel83 I love how your videos are not only pretty, and wearable but also easy and convenient. Instead of fancy brushes that are hard to find you use sponge tip applicators, or affordable brushes, and you also use inexpensive products that I can go and pick up, instead of having to pay money out for higher end companies, or trying to duplicate certain looks. I particularly like this one because its not completely nude, but not too smokey either. Perfect!

Hey Emily ,I have a request for a video if you can do one just based on your favourite Cover Girl shadows I know in the past you have done videos similar to it but I think every time you have suggested a cover girl eyeshadow I have just fallen in love with it cuz in the packaging it might not seem so but they are pretty good quality and the finish is good too even this very matt dark one.Thanks in advance.

I recommend you try the l'oreal lineur intense. It's a better liquid liner than the femme couture- it has a felt tip! The earthen rock shade is my favorite!

Highlighting the middle of the eye is a great trick. I'll often do it with a gold or a silver or even a pop of colour. It really makes your eye jump out. Really nice soft look on you!

I got a brown smoulder for christmas last year, and I've used it every day for my eyes and for filling in my eyebrows, and it's not even half empty yet. its very pigmented and you don't need much to achieve a dark color.

Lovely! putting that dot of light on the eyelid and the mouth really gives your face brightness and liveliness but without being obvious. I'm definitely trying that look, and for a nightime look i'd use a brighter shade of gold for the "dot" Thanks for sharing, Emily.

I actually prefer the covergirl ones over the rimmel ones... at least for the little compacts I recently got... the rimmel ones kind of suck... (it's like a 3 shade pallete), and my covergirl palette with 8 little colors is beating the color/feel/payoff by a long run. Drugstore makeup is just so confusing with the different brands and prices and what's actually worth buying!

It's great to see a makeup tutorial using eye products that almost everyone can get! Also It's been a while since I've seen anyone use the sponge-tip applicators that come in the eyeshadow compacts, but I'm glad to see that they are still useful LOL. I LOVE this look! I've been wanting to move out of my comfort zone and try a smokey eye, but I know it'll look very dramatic on someone like me who's never worn anything but pinks.
