  • Tommy Dorsey is just brilliant. He has that perfect blend of everything in his compositions!

  • The Rockola company also made the little M1 30 caliber carbine during WW2, not to be confused with the larger M1 Garand rifle.

  • Apparently the British Broadcasting Corporation, self appointed guardians of British morality, banned this recording at one point!!!!!!

  • The saxophones play for a good 45 seconds on their own and do a helluva job doing it to.

  • First heard this song on WJDA.Liked listening to "The Music of Your Life" on 1430 WXKS to

  • Ha, Dorsey's "Opus 1" was just playing on my MP3 player when I came to this vid, that's TOO COOL that you've actually got some 40s tunes in your 40's box! (DooWop is cool and all, but it's nice to actually hear some swing in these type boxes for a change!)

  • Have been listening to this song since about 1992 when Eddie Hubbard played in on WJDA 1300 in Quincy,Mass.

  • and the old -WXKS EVERETT -BOSTON 1430 AM. WHEN MUSIC WAS GOOD.
