no society, like u are so closed in their own views,,im not straightaphobic..why pick on us!..maybe you should try reading up on homosexulity, before saying your unwanted remaks!
This vids a nighmare! Was it recorded at some kinda tranny disco or gay bash?? I loved this record and danced with lots of girls at discos in its hit day and had great craic, but have never seen the vid.Aah!!I'm all confused...
I agree! I find it incredibly amusing and I've adored the track since I was little but they're really awkward performers... much like watching karaoke at a family wedding.
This video is amazing, that simple image explains many important facts in 1979... the death of disco and the start of all the "Pop" or "New Wave" movement that explode in the eighties, the end of sexual liberation, and the first years of conservative goverments around the world and, in a couple of years later, bad news about AIDS... that song bring me to that past plenty of changes.
I'm not sure either but, I like this song too. Probably because I love the 70's and the beat just sort of grows on the brain. Thanks for the post..........
Um... explain: what's so "gay" about this song? Or this performance, for that matter? Do you think anyone into electronic beats or electronic music, back then, was automatically queer? Also... ha ha ha, is there anything in that fellow's movements, whatsoever, indicating that he's gay? TRUE STORY: when this track became big in the States, John Lennon was still in retirement, and there was a very serious and musically astute rumor that the recording was actually his. I'm not making this up.
This music is FAR superior than the crap coming out of the charts these days. Robin Scott was a genius- this song made No.1 on the U.S. billboard charts and no.2 in the UK.
@n0wave I feel the same way. I just love watching here! I don't know how many times I've watched her in the last 2 days, but I can't get enough of her.

I have a 12" version of this.
On one side is both tracks of the 7" - as two different tracks; on the other side is the exasperating 'disco' version!
