Overall sounding good :-) Try to keep your larynx relaxed down as much as poss. (I advise u keep effort in lower body) EG. the beginning sounded quite professional. When you strain that's when it gets away with you.
You're definitely getting there :) I actually think this aria suits your voice well.
Thanks so much! I love this aria, so glad it suits me, even just IYO... I think it is a good one for me especially, because you really must use good head voice on the first few high note lines, to sing it correctly.
Thanks! It's not often that I'm hoarse anymore when singing, because I do stop when I start to really force. A little forcing, I'm going to have to live with for now. =D
Poweful tenor you have!

What does your teacher think? Does she feel you're improving?
flaze3 2 years ago
Absolutely, but I'm a skeptic, especially when I get praise from someone whose paycheck I partially provide =D
But we don't work on opera arias together, not yet.
aaronsande 2 years ago
I see your point, but there's no harm seeing what she thinks... maybe :-)

Wait, do you mean ask her if I'm doing better on arias, or in general? She'd kill me if she knew I was working on arias =S
But in general she sees great improvement, and I trust it, except sometimes when youtube jerks (-s) say offensive things...

does she not want you to work on arias? Why on earth not??
Glad she sees improvement though :)

I'm not ready, technically, and I can damage my voice. It's a common thing for teachers to feel, and it may actually be right =D

Oh, ok... well teacher say, pupil do I guess!

LOL but I'm not doing =D
I'm not good at taking orders...following directions, yes, but I want to SING, and I'm getting tired of the basic repertoire!
aaronsande 2 years ago
Perfectly understandable :) I don't se why you shouldn't sing what you like. Just be careful not to damage yourself :)
