i have a similar panda cross,bought from northern france and i think that the car has everything,from economy to to looks to offroad driving to many extras as standards,but lacks of power and its not cheap,allthough i think its the most beautiful car i ever had.

Metterei i Freni Brembo(Italian), Cerchi in alluminio OZ Racing(Italiani) con gomme Pirelli(Italiani) Sedili Sparco altra ditta italiana, lo sterzo della Momo anche essa italiana. Technologia Magneti Marelli. Motori Ferrari. il problema e' che tutto e' della Fiat nessun imprenditore italiano vuole comprarsi Alfa Lancia Ferrari Maserati Lamborghini e Bugatti. io sono trentino e dove abito quando nevica nevica. se dovessi scegliere tra queste due sicuramente la panda cross perche la trovo molto piu pratica ben accessoriata be si sa vagen va molto meglio sulle rifiniture e materiali rendendola in questa sfida migliore della panda ma io sincermente non saprei cosa farmene ti tutto questo prestigio se rimanessi bloccato nella neve, in poche parole la polo cross è come un suv cioe per me un'auto totalmente inutile.

This is ridiculous. The clear winner is the WV? Excuse me, but it is the only Cross model of the two that actually ISN'T one! It failed miserably off-road, and failed in accelleration and consumption. The FIAT gives you more bang for your buck, with loads of standard equipment, and c'mon... it is a sub-compact, while the WV is obviously bigger, hence some of the handling advantages.

To be honest i don't think its a good comparison, the panda actually has 4x4 features, it may not be as good as a land rover but it does work off road where as the polo is just a polo with different body panels that serve no function. In the comparisons with speed and cornering the VW is bound to win as its a road car, a wolf dressed as a sheep so to say.

If i wanted a road car whats wrong with simply going for a normal polo?

On the other hand, I fully agree that Italians are great engineers, but Germans are great manufacturers. Italians are less so. IMO, Fiats designed by Italian engineers and manufactured in Germany have a good chance of being the best cars obtainable at a reasonable price in the world. As it is now, Fiats are less well built than they should, and Volkswagen are less well designed.
