Wow!!!!! I thought i would never hear this riff again....Have a really bad copy of this same solo from 1978ish, bit longer but not as raw...many thanks for this post :) Tony the Riffmeister..
i caught this show in fayetteville nc, still brings back memories. check out the heaven and hell tour this year. lasts years tour was killer iommi is king
I would agree to an extent. Sabbath's sound in the early 80s was much heavier than it was in the 70s. Whether that's due to production, equipment, or technique or all...I don't know. Need an example...how about Born Again?
As far as I'm concerned...Sabbath never broke up. Just changed parts here and there. I also gave noodles a thumbs up. I'm sick of Ozzy fanboys trying to rid the world of any opinions that aren't pro-Ozzy. I like Ozzy too, but Ozzy isn't Sabbath. Iommi = Sabbath.
nah Bill, ozzy, iommi and butler "was" black sabbath.. and they all had their part.. btw my comment means that I don´t Dio is better then Ozzy. Thats why i wrote a little "=P" in the end of the comment I dont mean that he is wrong or anything like that if that is what u think... PS. excuse my english
That's fine, but that lineup of Sabbath didn't even do a majority of the albums in Sabbath's discography (A plurality, yes, but not a majority). To say Sabbath is only 8 albums is doing Mr. Iommi and those other musicians an injustice. Iommi never had a problem using the Sabbath name after Ozzy was gone, so I see no reason to go against him. I think if Ozzy had stayed in Sabbath past '78, Sabbath would not be revered so highly today...
that might be true... i dont know much about sabbath myself but what i know is that i love almost every song by them when ozzy was with them =) btw do u prefer ozzy or dio ?
They both have good and bad points. Ozzy has (or maybe had) better stage presence and was better at getting a crowd into the performance. Dio is technically a better singer, but Ozzy has a unique voice. That said, I think the songs done after Ozzy left are much more complex and more interesting to listen to (with a few exceptions). I think Iommi improved a lot as a guitar player after Ozzy left as well. So there's good and bad with both and I don't really prefer either one.
All guitar peasants bow to the god Tony Iommi.

This isn't Mexico, and Tommi is not the same thing as Tony.
You lose.
Now please fuck off you troll. Thanks.

@superazteca1
Maybe. Although at least Anthony is part of his real name. Tommi isn't. That's the difference for all you mentally incompetent dumbasses out there.

He learned to play Jazz after he lost his two finger tips. It is what got him out of the depression and back into playing guitar again.

PS3KINGOFCONSOLES 2 years ago 8
It's Black Sabbath until Ozzy was kicked out in '79. He went solo and picked up Randy Rhoads who died in a plane crash.
Later, other guitarists played with Ozzy.
Black Sabbath think:
Paranoid, War Pigs, Iron Man
Ozzy think:
Crazy Train, Flying High Again, Mr. Crowley

One of the best ever. Tony, learned to play like that after surviving a nasty accident that removed, I think 2-3 finger tips.
