I don't want my police armed and I don't wish to fly on any airline where there is the possibility of having an anonymous armed air marshall on board. It's suicidal. In-flight hijacking is an occupational hazard of international travel, you have to live with it. Firing guns inside a pressurised airliner is much more likely to cause the cabin to decompress and cause everyone to pass out.

An armed citizenry is laughed at as an intend reaction by the actors/screen writers. Archie is unique as a character though similar to others. His character comprised of common stereotypes and hysterical viewpoints on topics. Generally one sided to contrast the opposite sided co-cast. Could be sheep's clothing or humor.
