the leaves will cure many viruses! Many illensses can be reversed. I took the leaves while sick with a bad flue and was better in 2 days. I took 2 capsules every 4 hours!
Politics..... Trees help create rain. They are a big part of the water cycle. And, if you remove the trees, the water temps will go up in the river, and also the river will fill with silt. If you study the issues on Kilamanjaro and in Amboseli, the lack of trees are the biggest issue. On Kilamanjaro, the people cut and burn the trees. Amboseli's issue is elephants bringing down the trees.
50k eualyptus trees in Kenya is fake statistics. I know somebody with more than a million in his farm, not mentioning big planters like Kakuzi. They are in excess of a billion!!!
We must have some Eucalyptus in our agro-forest system, rural economics demands this. Rapid depletion of Eucalyptus will leave a vacuum for wood fuel, eventually compelling firewood consumers to scramble for the rare Olea welwitschii from forests. The repercussions are so obvious: The majority of Kenyans use firewood for cooking, mostly on inefficient stoves, the biggest tree destroyer. Does the Kenyan government have any tangible energy plan currently for rural areas? No.
I'm not an environmental genius or anything, but wouldn't removing all those trees from the river banks cause massive soil erosion? Plus will the amount of water saved by cutting 50,000 trees make a difference to a country of with a population in the tens of millions?
Every Eucalyptus cut down should be replaced with a native plant species.

There was no need to cut down these trees. They attract rain.
