Im an Arsenal fan, and if anybody is kidding themselves about how good our current generation is...ask yourself this. Who in the current strongest 11 would get into the Arsenal 11 with the likes of Henry, Bergkamp, Pires, Ljungberg, Vieira, Cole, Campbell, Toure/Adams/Keown, Seaman/Lehmann. In my honest opinion, maybe just Sagna in at right back. Other than that, we're much, much worse.

@gram314 Two spectacular, while very different players. Bergkamp's vision is completely unrivalled for me, but Henry's clinical finishing and sheer power can't be compared. Bearing in mind Henry had a ridiculous goal to game ratio, he was also one of our highest assisters consistently. If he was selfish, I have no doubt he could have got close to a goal per game. But I know what you mean, there's just something special about the Dutch Master.

Well if you're talking about the present, Ronaldo obviously, Bergkamp's retired. But if I had to pick out of Ronaldo and Bergkamp in his prime, I would pick Bergkamp. In my opinion he's the 2nd greatest player to have graced the premiership, after Henry of course ;)

At 1:38 , henry puts the ball precisely in the middle of 3 defenders. They all go for it, and ram each other. THREE defenders. The leftover ball goes to henry´s teammate, alone in fornt of the goal. There is genius in Henry.

Sorry but, R9 is better than Henry. George Best IS one of the best. Don't use the Modern day defender excuse. He could do everything. Van Basten was a striker, one of the best too. Only Bergkamp comes close in Dutch strikers. Oh besides the best player ever. You know who ;)

destroyed 6-3? Hmm we play a team consisting of those players most matches. Whether it be them or players of a similar stature. Haven't seen us get "destroyed 6-3" yet, Granted we've lost games. Due to poor defending, and lack of accuracy up front. Had and still have an extensive injury list. Arsenal aren't like other teams, never have been under wenger. They play free-flowing football thus not actually needing a DM. Granted we did have one in the likes of vieria but how long ago?

personally - i think they lost a lot more wen Pires left than Bergkamp, Henry etc. I admit I didn;t think he worked hard enough wen he was thereand he had some very poor performances but for a winger in his style to get bout 20 goals a season is phenomenal. now theyve got noone like that.

true...but it was the team strong in every position - A.Cole, and some more great defenders with serious attacking skills, they often scored. vieira, wiltord, etc midfilders with good first pass. and "the best striker ever" (c) A. Wenger Thierry Henry scoring awesome goals often having small chances to score. I miss that :P

That arsenal was advanced attacking team - now the level of teams became the same. and to show great football with 3 or more balls scored manager must try something new, unusual. I think arsenal must have more englishmen cause soon it's gonna be the limit for the international.
