  • 'ive sucked the milk out of 1000 cows'

good for you bob, good for you.

thats my new aspiration in life :)

  • I hate how it's so difficult to find bob dylan songs n youtube. it's always damn COVERS of his songs.

  • what guitar is he playing at 0:12 ?? thanks

  • OH SONY why did you took the entertainment out of You Tube??????

  • Comment removed

  • e ainda existe que nao gosta , devem gostar dessa porcaria de funk

  • I don't know who's behind that clip, but this is one of the best clip I've seen ever made on a bob dylan's song. Great job ! very sensitive ! Hope I express myself well, I'm french ! Thrillin' !

  • Jack White = Nanaphile

  • Wanda Jackson hace un estupendo cover.

  • me?i want more bob on the tube.

  • i was thinking about Rollin and a tumblin....as I have Big Joe Williams version.

Sorry got the songs mixed up....never the less Dylans ability to continue to rise to the challange of album after album say's it all for me the man will never be surpased.

  • "I'll say this: I don't give a damn about your dreams"

  • id just like to say

    FUCK YOU SONY!!!!

  • love love love............uhhhhhhhhhh

  • Great cover of a great old song

  • @MississippiSheik

This ain't a cover of an old song... 'Thunder On The Mountain' was a new song Dylan wrote for his 2006 album 'Modern Times' - of course, it borrows heavily from early blues and rockabilly musical influences - and lyrically Bob tips his hat to blues legend Memphis Minnie... The 2nd verse is based on her song 'Ma Rainey'. Dylan cuts and shuffles Memphis Minnie's lyrics substituting Alicia Keys and Hell's Kitchen for Ma Rainey and her Georgia birthplace.

  • 'Thunder On The Mountain'.... "I was thinkin' 'bout Alicia Keys, couldn't keep from crying When she was born in Hell's Kitchen, I was living down the line I'm wondering where in the world Alicia Keys could be I been looking for her even clear through Tennessee" -------------------------- 'Ma Rainey' by Memphis Minnie "I was thinking about Ma Rainey wonder where could Ma Rainey be I been looking for her even been 'n old Tennessee She was born in Georgia traveled all over this world"
  • Ah!; there's another one from the Modern Times CD, it's:.. if it keep on rain'in...""The Levee's Gonna Break" (And seems pertanent here in OZ where in 2010 the drought finally broke)...the stanza is :.... "I worked on the levee, moma both night and day, I worked on the levee, moma both night and day; I got to the river and I through my clothes away..." ...sony music;, they suck big time.

  • "just said my relgoius wows...........no need to confesss again" it just works his words!

  • Fuck Sony, fuck government, fuck their wars, fuck them all. When it all go's shitty Dylan always sorts my brain out.

  • I wonder who are the idiots disliking this video!

  • @IgorMorais666 err is it you ?

  • it's the hard rain telecast he's playin shelterfrom the storm.

  • What's that show in which he's wearing a bandana and playing a very different guitar?

  • I wonder what he is doing at this very moment...

  • I can listen to this 1000 times but i never get bored of bob dylan!

  • the old ones r the best ones.. long live robert zimmerframe :)

  • Great track ... Goooo Bob !!

  • "I'll say this, I don't give a damn about your dreams"- but, you said you were gonna be in my dreams, remember? Bob?? First time I've listened to this song, I feel like I'm going to love Modern Times.

  • The second verse sounds like it starts with Dylan singing: "I was thinking about Alicia Keys".... lol! What is he actually singing? Anybody?

Anyway, it's bloody petty, ridiculous and outrageous that Dylan videos - even when the videos are made by Youtubers - are taken down... I doubt that a few YT videos using Bob Dylan songs would bankrupt either Dylan or Sony... what the hell is wrong with these people? Dylan should be as accessible as air, and worldwide, for God's sake!

  • @kidcalabria He IS singing about Alicia Keys :) Why the hell, I don't know.

  • @almfan

And he can't keep from crying, she was born in Hell's Kitchen, he wonders where in the world she can be, and he's been looking for her clean onto Tennessee, if that wasn't bad enough! At least I'm not going deaf, thanks

  • "I've sucked the milk out of a thousand cows". I mean, where's his fuckin' Nobel Prize for Christsake?! Should I go to Sweden, take it and give him by myself?

  • @blindwilliehighlight you think thats good, try listening to the under the red sky album!

  • @arru23 I've got the all.... There was a little boooooy...

  • @blindwilliehighlight Nobel Prizes are awarded in Norway actually, but I second your opinion. :)

  • @andreboogie Ooooops! Being an European myself, that's a big mistake! Anyway, I'd go to Sweden, get some stuff at IKEA and then jump to Norway for the Nobel thing...

  • @blindwilliehighlight Haha, no worries. Sounds like a good plan. :)

  • UNREAL!!!1

  • SHHHHHHHHHIIIIIIIIIIIIIIITTTTTTTTTTTTTTT!!

  • no cabe duda bob dylan grande etre los grandes !!!!!!!

  • no cabe duda bobo dylan lo mejor de lo mejor !!!!!!!

  • The shame is there is not enough Dylan on Youtube. This is just brilliant

  • Bob Dylan for president!

  • What a LEGEND

  • This is outstanding !.... Goooo Bob !!

  • Wanda Jackson has just done a cover of this song with Jack White on guitar. It's really good!

  • Blues as is finest!

  • This is an edited version!

  • all you need is Dylan.

  • "I sucked the milk out of a thousand cow's",what's all that about?

  • Fuckin' genius. I woke up with a massive hangover and worried about so many ridiculous things and this shocked me awake and made me feel alive again. You have got to hand it to Bob Dylan.

  • MUito bom!!!

  • He just keeps on keeping on.

  • I saw him live in concert twice!!!!!!!!

  • What does Dylan wanna do with Alicia Keys??? its kind of random

  • @SonHouse245 sort her out mate!

  • @SonHouse245 Can't you imagine :~))) No really, in an interview Dylan commented that there is nothing he doesn't like about that girl, knowing fully that he could be her father, agewise. The entire lyrics are reflective.

  • bob u legend

  • THE MASTER AT WORK!

  • i'm really angry and dissapointed at bob dylan

  • @11joshman sod off, Bob Dylan is 1 of the best singers andTHE best song writer ever!

  • @TheBibby321 he is an illuminati sellout, i discovered that a week ago, sad but true

  • @11joshman no he isnt! y do u tink dat?

  • @TheBibby321 why isn't he?

cause you don't wanna admit it?

search it, he admitted he sold his soul and i first thought that he meant GOD but then i was looking at his logo and it had the all seeing eye, that is the symbol of power of the illuminati

most of them do it on purpose and you don't realise it

    it's called subliminals

they are everywhere, magazines, music, movies

you see here's how it works

your consious is hearing the artist but your sub consious is hearing the subliminal

  • @11joshman i doubthe ment it

  • @TheBibby321 i do not understand shit you said man

  • @11joshman You see here's how it works

Your mind sees whatever it wants to see.

If you seek conspiracy, you can find it behind anything. Just like religious people can see signs of God behind ordinary objects (i can't blame them), there are people (like you) who, out of fear, try to see the conspiracy in everything

Bob Dylan's logo doesn't even look like the all-seeing eye.

I believe that the new world order is a real thing, but you're just being delusional

  • @yamamonkey so all that sold his soul thing was sarcasm?

  • @11joshman I'm not saying that. However it is worth noting that the words "sell", "soul" are not words that he used. To put it specifically, here's what he said:

"I made a bargain with the supreme commander. In this world and a world we can not see."

His end of the bargain was to keep making music, and that's what he does

  • @yamamonkey well that's means he sold his soul right?

i mean if all that illuminati shit is true then why does he sing gospel songs?

when i saw the interview i tought he meant GOD but i saw that logo of his and it had the all seeing eye so i stopped listening to him

  • @11joshman Like I said, that logo is NOT the all-seeing eye.

Unfortunately, what we have here is a textbook case of someone jumping to conclusions and then not listening to anyone!

Hey, I'm not going to waste anymore time writing proper arguments if you ignore them altogether.

    Fuck you.

  • @yamamonkey WTF?

    who's argueing dumbass?

we are talking important shit here

  • @11joshman was wondering if could expand on the illuminati thing.cheers

  • @looknfortruth The illuminati thin is a load of shit, dat is wat i ment.

  • the most fantastic stuff!!!!!

  • Alicia keys??

  • FANTASTIC

  • anyone know what year it was at 1:21 ????

    or how old he was?

  • @7Pwd21

yes, this was 2006. Bob Dylan was born in 1941.

  • @thedinosaur1958

i mean at 1 minute 20/21 seconds. looks like its from the 70's, maybe early 80's. i was just curious is all.

  • @7Pwd21

That clip is from May 1976. The month Dylan would have turned 35.

The concert that footage shows was released as a live album called 'Hard Rain.' There's some pretty good stuff on it.

  • @AndOtherObservations

nice one, thanks alot. i'l be sure to check that out, i've been looking for a good live album of his, already got Live At The Gaslight.

  • @7Pwd21

His 1964 Philharmonic Hall and 1966 Royal Albert Hall Concert are also really good live albums, and show just how much Dylan had changed in a relatively short period of time. Only two years separate these concerts, but in the intervening period Dylan had gone electric, the culmination of which is on the 1966 live album with the infamous decry of 'Judas!'

For a time there were recordings from each concert posted on YouTube, but unfortunately they all seem to have now been removed!

  • This ........... is music !

    Brilliant !

  • What a tune!!

  • Glad I can still listen to this one. F*ck sony entertainment for blocking loads of good ones!

  • @zactwentythree Right on! Those corporate a**holes shouldn't take away his music from his fans or other people who want to listen. WE DID NOTHING WRONG!

  • it is such an immense feeling to be experiencing Bob Dylan releasing original material. He seems to be most associated with 60's music and articulating what many were feeling way back then but it's so unique to have such well expressed lyrics from someone who has transcended the waves of fashion and transience and outlasted most of his contemporaries.

  • Bob Dylan does it again! LEGEND!

  • Great tune, awesome video!

  • Dylan, Cocker, legends in my eyes!
