  • im 18 bro i turn 19 on June 2012 , i dont wanna pay like 300 a month as people say lol you should make a video or your gear bro

  • The bike sounds nice I got a question do you think this is a good first bike for a beginner I am saving money to buy later in future to be exact hopefully in spring i was consider a ninja 250 but i heard that you get bored with it after 6 months iim looking for a bigger bike that i can use for atleast a year and upgrade also how much do you pay for insurance? i heard this bike is easier to insure because its not consider a sports bike , thankss

  • @BluezCOO Hey thanks and yes it's an excellent first bike, if you can get it over a ninja 250 you may as well. The only time you will really start to get bored with it is if you go riding with people that ride bigger bikes. I rode alone pretty much all last spring/summer/fall while I was learning, I had no previous riding experience of any kind, and it was great. It was only midway into this season when I started riding with other people that it felt painfully slow, so I upgraded to the TL1000s

  • My insurance was like $36 or $46 a month, I can't remember exactly and that was for full coverage. Yeah it will be a heck of a lot cheaper to insure than a real deal sport bike. How old are you?

  • nice bike!

  • You're right. Sounds way better than the stock pipe.

  • That thing sounds awesome man... I had my heart set on something w/a V-Twin but this has changed my mind. Def gonna get this if I get a GS500

  • @future62 hey thanks! Yeah it sounds alright..... BUT I now how a 2000 Suzuki TL1000S with Devil Pipes which is a Vtwin and let me tell you.. WOW such an amazing sounding bike, sounds like a machine!

  • sounds good

  • Hey, did you have to remove your center kickstand? Or did the Yoshimura come with a center kickstand stopper/bracket?

    Thanks

  • @ALPHAmovement I didn't have to remove the center stand, in the directions it said to take the rubber stopper off the old exhaust and put it onto the yoshi, unfortunately mine didn't have a rubber stopper, it must have come off or something. I ended up just ghetto rigging my own stopper out of some chopped up erasers and zip ties lol... I'll get around to getting something a little more legit at some point.

  • Great video!

  • Good Job on your review of the exhaust system. If you choose to post future modifications, please do a "before and after". People loving having the base to compare an upgrade to. Two questions: What kind of camera are you using and have you thought about where to mount the camera for ride recording? I ask because I have the same model bike.

  • @Ergodyne187 hey I used my iphone 4 to record the video and I've been wanting to find a place to attempt to mount it, but I've been to lazy to mess with it much kinda want a gopro

  • Cool bike man, do you know if they make that pipe for a 2004 Suzuki GS500F if not im just get the jardine full exhuast for 400 bucks.

  • @z10abutler the standard trs for gs500's should fit fine. but yeah if you can't find one for sub 300 bucks I'd just go with the full jardine and a rejet.

  • More Bike Vids!!

  • hey bro i got a 2005 gs500f and was thinking bout this exhaust sounds awesome on the video cant for it to hear it in person

  • @skitaz sick yeah definitively pick one up! I got mine new off ebay for $270, haven't seen em that cheap lately though..

  • Thanks for the quality sound byte!

So many exhaust vids are too low quality to get any real feel for how it actually sounds.

  • Great video, I'm ordering the same exhaust. I'll try not to punch out that piece of metal. LightningMAS is a douche

  • @jsn819 nice! You should like. Yeah I wouldn't bother punching the hole cause the silencer makes it sound Blahhh anyway.

  • I meant this guy- (magicforthestreet)

  • LOL!! I do trackdays.. and whats speed? 100+mph. all day, draggin knees..

    Really?? Yes siree.

  • Nice video. Thanks

  • 500 is slow.. No one cares. POP sound to it= yeah, cause its lean on the deacceleration.. You can do the PAIR MOD valve and get rid of the popping and backfiring.

  • @LightningMAS ya know, I always had a sneaking suspicion that I, with no prior riding experience, should have gotten the hayabusa they had at the dealer for my first bike. That way I could make really cool youtube videos that super cool people like yourself could watch...cause that's all that really matters right?

The popping I was trying to describe was coming from the whole in the end of the exhaust that the screw which holds the silencer in goes through.

  • @LightningMAS If your main concern is speed, you should NOT be riding a motorcycle. Those people who are wise and don't crash are the ones that are not like you.

  • This really helps --- I like the way it sounds... thanks for posting!

  • @donbeltran30 hey no prob

Yeah it sounds even better in person, my friend took in for a spin up the street so I could listen and it sounded awesome.

  • also did you have to rejet the carburettors?

  • @PLdrummer you don't have to, but you can if you want to

  • I'm a little confused, so is this with the silencer in or out? Also, is the silencer in the exhaust from the factory, or does it have to be inserted? Thanks.

  • @PLdrummer sorry the video is with the silencer out, I think it sounds like a 50cc dirt bike with it in haha. It comes with the silencer out from the factory and to put it in you need to punch out a scored round piece of metal at the very end of the pipe, that hole causes the "popping" sound while idling, it didn't really come across in the video.
