seems extremely weird to me that the supermarkets chose to censor the 'alleged' violent nature of the cover of this album. unyet if you look at the movie sections, you'll see films like Saw with blood/guts etc all over their covers without any censorship. it's just ludicrous what censors deem to be 'offensive', and 'unoffensive'

Well, admittedly, when I first saw the cover, it made me scream a bit (I didn't expect to see it, ok?) but the idea that it needs to be censored is faintly ridiculous. It's not even worth discussing, seriously. It just seems so dated. The supermarkets want to put a sleeve over a picture of a child with what looks like a bloodied face, which is almost glorified, or at the very least made to look fairly stylistically beautiful, through the medium of paint, so what? Is it really worthy of debate? I have no problem with it personally, but I also have no problem with it being censcored. Who cares? The album kicks arse with Richeys 'voice' back in centre stage.

I love the fact that Loius has been reduced to "that bloke from Brookside".....I bought the album from Asda due to it being the nearest place I can get it, and have thrown away the outer sleeve so the artwork can be seen as it was meant to be.

Bottom line: Saville painted a picture of a child with a facial birthmark (fact), and this is a pathetic mistake on the part of the supermarkets. If one were so inclined, this is discrimination against people with facial birthmarks. Scarcely mentioned.
