@Theblob516 What I mean to say is that Overdrive is a sub-category of Distortion, if you want to get REALLY specific, distortion tends to give you dirtier sounds more easily, but you can still achieve those really dirty sounds with overdrive if you crank it up.

Hmm not diggin the tone of the guitar in the beginning of the song, too..bass-y? Iono I think if you adjusted yoru EQ a ltitle or changed up some of yoru drive settings it would be awesome. Perfect technique btw, props.

If you listen to the album version the guitar has more of a "twang" to the sound, its close but its like he cut out the middle end of his EQ.

The guitar that Mike uses for this song especially tend to carry that quality, very prominent in the higher ends with a strong middle to create a strong sorta twang. But that's my opinion.
