Wow, I was listening to this thinking it's the just the kind of thing you'd use to summon up Cthulu and then I scrolled down and saw 'Lovecraft' in the tags! It also made me think of the scary novel House on the Borderland by William Hope Hodgson, which was highly rated by Lovecraft. Great stuff!
"Through the Gate of Deeper Slumber lies the Ultimate Gate to the Last Void beyond Space".
Lovecraft's visions in his writings are a great inspiration to me. At the Mountains of Madness in particular. The vast black geometric Cyclopean city of terrifying proportions built by the Great Old Ones, long before the dawn of humankinds history. Lovecraft wrote of dimensions outside this world, of doorways after doorway into the abyss of infinity.
@JeffreyPlaide I love Lovecraft's stories as well as Clark Ashton Smith's. It's that alien, strange other-worldliness in their work that is so spine-chillingly creepy yet so provocative and thrilling, and your music has the same resonances, touching on something bizarre and just beyond human understanding. It also reminds me of those great horror and scifi shows like Out of the Unknown I used to love watching as a kid, which Pam1927 is now putting up on youtube, like:
Many thanks for this. I believe that people are drawn to things they themselves wish to comprehend. I am also thinking of The Outer Limits in particular, as well as aspects of Doctor Who. I will check your link. Many thanks Astrophonix!
