i recently jus bought the rubber soul album and wen i heard this song, it made me reflect back to my own friends an all the fun we've had together. it made me a little teary.

This is a song by The Beatles. It's called 'In My Life', and was written by John Lennon and Paul McCartney -- in that order.
I put it down as 60/40 in John's favour.
The lyrics are certainly as close to 100% Lennon as can be, but I reckon the music is mainly Paul's. Could be 70/30, but let's not split hairs...
