  • the insistent Lou Reed down-stroke.

  • pete is absolutely great

  • I couldn't get a good look at Lou's ax.... is he playing a Teley????

  • You can get a pretty good look at Reed's guitat at 2:52.

To my eye it looks more like a Gibson than a Fender. Check out the head.

  • You're both kinda right, but it's a Carvin or something. Solidbody, flat-top Tele shaped body, Gibson style headstock. Twin humbuckers....kind of a hybrid I guess.

  • It's a Bolin.

  • I can't imagine two more enigmatic rock personalities sharing the same stage.

  • don´t know thy pete don´t tried to do the "WHITEE LIGHTT" vocal line that was made by Cale :(

  • A bueeeeeee!! totalmente a tope!

    Great,great,great!

  • Speechless

  • Best You Tube Clip EVER!

  • Since I can remember I were a music-fan of the Who and Lou Reed (no question), of course now I am 45 years old in these old days I were to young for the concerts. Now I do my own music, but my dream is one day to make music with you... O.K. now it is out... good night and go on playing...my first musicvideo produced by myself is in some minutes online...

  • Why is the blues based on only but 2,(3) harmonies, chords? Because also the simple people in the wheatfields can sing to it!:-)

  • pete townshend is so cool

  • PETE ROCKS!!!! Did you hear how he added so much OOOMPH, soulto this song???? No doubt, hands down - he was & STILL IS THE MAN!

  • @daremejustabit i agree

  • Who would've know that the people at the physical health institution, actually allowed you to get near computer...

  • FANTASTIC! FATASTIC! FANTASTIC!

Two passionate artsts who have individal musical legacies that are so unique. there's no one quite like Pete. there's no one qute like Lou.

  • lol @ phone in his vocals. Its funny when I think of it like that.

  • Good chord stabs around 2:40. Lou sure loves to phone in those vocals in that Sinatra doesn't care about anything except his post show Jack Daniels and chicken soup style, eh?

  • cool safety glasses, Lou-do they meet OSHA standards?

  • you never know when a pick is gonna' hit you in the eye! :)

  • Sweet!

    - Lucy.

  • great!

  • What I wouldn't give to see these guys do this electric, ala THE WHO meets THE VELVETS!A bit subdued but this is the stuff legend is made out of.

  • Townshend sucks my wallet. He wouldn't let Michael Moore use his music "we won't get fooled again" on Fahrenheit 9/11. Think I'll go pirate some of his music now.

  • I'm SO glad it wasn't used as Moore has become a hypocritical shrew who can't move on and look anything but pathetic. Anyone TRULY on the LEFT knew he quickly became a simple liberal, shaming others while he lives and owns/rents(!)property in the great "exploitive" US. PT would never get political unless he was going to go all the way & has said he prefers the transformational power of music to rhetoric. I agree.

  • Wow Odelay Rebel - Cause

  • cause the movie is about revolution, and Wont get fooled again (not we wont get fooled again) is an anti-revolution song...what do you think "meet the new boss...same as the old boss" means? its fuckin logic if he didnt let hm use the song, he recomended some tunes he could use for the song including the neil young ones he used..besides moore is a fuckin wanker

  • he won't mind if you pirate it, he just thinks moore is an asshole

  • Why should he let him?

  • You do know Michael Moore is no better than Bill O'Riley. He's just a liberal equivelent. Pete and Lou both worked outside politics and followed their own paths in music. Proto-Punk and rock visionaries playing an amazing song... if only Cale where there :[

  • When I read about this in Rolling Stone, I think I gasped. Two of the most UNDERRATED GUITARISTS sitting side by side in a VERY impromptu performance. What a great thing to see! Thanks for posting.

  • yes they are legends. but this is monotonous... nothing special here

  • agreed.

  • Pete is GOD

  • amazing...way to go Pete!!!! Keep on rocking!

  • I, too, would very much like to see the episode featuring Super Amanda about which everybody's been talking.

  • nice work Pete

  • WOW! FUNKY!!!You two need to be on You Tube more often--you could take over!!

    LOve Super Amanda

  • My fathers name is Pete Townsend! without the 'h'.

  • That was "fabulous"! :D

  • @dawnadawn:

"White light/White heat", as far as I know, there's 2 evrsions about what it is supposed to be about:

    1. Lou's electro-shock therapy which he underwent as a 17-year old to 'cure' him from homosexual behaviour,

    2. The song is rumoured to have been written by Lou in the early days of the VU. The group had been stayin old night staying in some NY club and only went outside - heavy on booze and drugs - after sunrise.

  • ...and plz run the super amanda Ita soon!

  • I too woyuld to luv see super amanda's appearance and more of in the attic on you tube. the podcasts are too long &the site is too jumbly.stuff like this is gr8t
