@FrozenAtrox - Joe The Alien isn't going to be listening to this record when it's found, a scientist is; and they won't be freaked out. If a civilization has reached technological advancement enough to understand what this is and listen to it, they're going to recognize some of the sounds. I will guarantee that some of these sounds are universal, like wind blowing, fire crackling, water dripping. They're going to know what this is.
At 1:48 during the thunderstorm, if you have good sound equipment, you can hear a peak spike of lower bass, unnatural which I've near heard during a thunderstorm... It's like a typo of the human race.
@MrValovinorovich "itself" would also have been acceptable. and I agree that you are a dipshit and unbelievable moron. have a nice day, moron dipshit.
freaky laughter , cheaps , sawing , someone moaning in pain ?! and SPACE sounds in the beginning ,.... we could aswell have war sounds and pigs screaming in there : / but its fascinating ! great uploading :)
Imagine an alien version of this from another planet landed on earth when the dinosaurs were around, and since nothing could understand what it meant it just got covered by rock and now it's underneath some ocean somewhere.
Seriously weird shit. The only thing that were clearly recognizable were the chimp screaming, morse code, thunder and rain, choo choo train, It's the superimposing of sound samples that is embarrassing. I wouldn't want to be the alien trying to figure this crap out.
"Fuckin' humans. We went all that way and showed 'em how to build the pyramids and they spent the next couple thousand years making elaborate fart noises! What a waste!"
@jfoley715 They sorta did: minute 6:15 sounds like "speak to me" then it sounds like intro to "money" and then it changes into "sheep" as you go into min 7 :)
@cagatorio1 They actually did include Mozart on the Voyager Recorder. I'm not sure which track it was. Just search mozart voyager record.
In all there were 31 longlength audio recordings. The odds that an alien civilization will ever find it are extremely rare. It will take 40,000 years for the probe to just reach the nearest star based solar system. We are very isolated in our corner of the milky way.
@FrozenAtrox since they are aliens and evolved in an entirely different ecosystem, they might not have the same associated biochemical/emotional responses as you or i would
@FrozenAtrox lol... well it did come across as a bit strange at first but we sifted through what was sent and are replying via facebook @ the Utaziah Federation;) thanx for making me laugh at ya comment ;)

@carla05059 Per aspera ad astra. It's in Latin, and it means "through hardships to the stars."

Too bad the likelihood of this ever reaching any form of intelligent life from space is very slim before it gets destroyed somehow.
