well i never read the book or heard of it but the movie was actually good its probably one of the movies i actually payed attenion to.Did not take my eyes off of it or stop listening to evey word.Of course people are gonna choose a book over a movie it has more details its your own imagination its your own art that is shown in your head through words your descriptive image of the story.

j'ai été relativement déçue par ce film qui ne correspond pas tout à fait (comme d'habitude) au livre de King, où est la chanson "sympathy for the devil" ??? que l'on entendrait presque lorsqu'on lit le livre ?? ça me manque dans le film, et la fin évidemment n'a strictement rien à voir, mais le film est pas mal, malgré qques déception, et je ne voyais pas du tout Morgan Freeman jouer dedans, mais bon, j'aime ce film quand même

What is the name of the movie that has people randomly being infected with this creature that could do it by simply touching them physically (host to host) and by "flying" to them, like a germ, when his host died.

The main character(denzel washington?)'s son gets infected and kills himself. At the very end, he goes to a place miles off of civilization after (I think) he was infected. And he kills himself after a conversation with the bastard, but then an animal shows up and the movie cuts off.

Yes, that can be. The book was complicated as well. These things about Dreamcatcher connected with Duddits, Jonesy with the alien, it's very difficult to understand. But it's interesting and gives you a new subject to think about :)
