3. Repeal the 17th amendment. Senators would then have to answer to just their own States for how they vote, and the States legislatures would be answerable to the constituents of their State alone for who they select to represent their State in the Congress of the Federal government.
Sovereign individuals selecting those who govern them locally, and overall in their sovereign States, including those who represent them in the House of representatives, and indirectly in the Senate.
2. Repeal the 16th amendment. States should be the only source of revenue to the Federal government. Federal programs that send money to the States can be more efficiently run if the money is collected by the States, and run entirely by the States as they see fit, with the consent of the persons who live in those States. While problems needing attention may be similar in all States, they can also be quite different resulting in greatly differing solutions to be most effective, and efficient.
Three things need attention to return to government of the people, by the people, and for the people.
1. The Federal reserve. Initially, eliminate its ability to act without first receiving the consent of both houses of congress and the Executive office. Only Congress has the authority under the Constitution, Article 1 Section 8, to coin money and regulate its value. Eventually, the Fed should be eliminated, the National debt gradually eliminated, and then effort to reduce currency value change

He seems very relaxed during this speech, because no one is trying to cut him off every 5 seconds. No wonder he appears a bit nervous on debates. In this speech he really appears in his element, and the way he explains the problem is very clear. If he was allowed this type of platform more often in the media, there's no way any other candidate could match his support. If you listen to other candidates the way they speak is so fake... I say "Let the middle class shrink" the only reason American's have had it so good is because they have been sucking the governments tit for 60 years. Look at China-there's no middle class there and yet they have become the super power of the planet. They have surpassed the US by hard work, not government handouts. I will work with my brothers Cantor, Boehner, and Paul Ryan to end all handout programs (social security, medicare) and encourage tax breaks for job creators.

It is clearly evident that Ron Paul speaks without notes or teleprompters. His vast knowledge of seemingly all subject matters is incredible. How anyone could characterize him as kooky is beyond my imagination. So it's been over a week and the like/dislike button isn't working. the comment count and view count also seem to be "broken" as well. The comment count was at 13,000 on 10/19, and now it's still only at 13,000 comments? That seems highly improbable. In 3 days this video gets 13,000 comments, but in the next 8 days it gets less than 1,000?
Also, based on the comment count, the honors this video earned, and even the frozen like count, this video likely has far more than 80,000 views. Censorship

2. Repeal the 16th amendment. States should be the only source of revenue to the Federal government. Federal programs that send money to the States can be more efficiently run if the money is collected by the States, and run entirely by the States as they see fit, with the consent of the persons who live in those States. While problems needing attention may be similar in all States, they can also be quite different resulting in greatly differing solutions to be most effective, and efficient.

Three things need attention to return to government of the people, by the people, and for the people.
1. The Federal reserve. Initially, eliminate its ability to act without first receiving the consent of both houses of congress and the Executive office. Only Congress has the authority under the Constitution, Article 1 Section 8, to coin money and regulate its value. Eventually, the Fed should be eliminated, the National debt gradually eliminated, and then effort to reduce currency value change

@kenferrara 1976, the "building" to leverage started swinging, and 40 yrs of "leverage" brought us here. Scary that 2 generatios(20 yrs ea.) are "used to "leverage" , without basic retrenchment, infrastructure
we will not grow. This is at the heart of R.Ps paradigm. Let, leverage fail, cut spending, cut restrictions to growth(Govt. oversight/established buisnesses/keeping leverage/ market control). Don't know what will come out, but a enviroment where "possible" change must be put into place.
