I love all of Aerosmith stuff. My all time favorite band.
I will agree ...I think this is ONE of their best albums. I still have a cassette player in my car and I played this cassette so much that it finally bit the dust. It sucks now I can't run to the store to purchase a new one. lol
The Boys from Boston need to make a stop in Dayton, OH.
pretty sure this is just in between. I wanted to post the old live version which I like but it might not be good for my daughter because he looks cute but appears to have had too much cheer!
Well she ate it, knowing it was love at first bite......F'n makes me laugh everytime I hear of it. The snake was he, and she, just crawled right up his jeans.
i can't pick a best Aerosmith album - the first two scream too. One Way Street on the first album, Make It, Dream On, Somebody - and Get Your Wings kicks ass front to back. Then the singles, When Lightning Strikes, Let the Music do the Talking, Sick as a Dog........it goes on and on.
Hands down!, Aerosmiths best album!! - from someone who came from their area, and used to watch them at Tufts College beer partys and JOJo's at revere Beach Club!! Long Live the past!!
@ragnorr1 I have to agree with you on this one! I have this album on vinyl and I don't think I bought any of their stuff since because it simply cannot be topped!
The Greatest Religous Songs Ever! Great Tune! One of my All-Time Favs, then Sick as a Dog, No More No More & No Surprise! America's Greatest Rock Bands Ever! Van Halen, Guns & Roses, Ramones are the next Best!
When I hear this I can still smell the pot in my first car a 67 Mustang must have been around 1975 or 1976. I still think this was the best album they ever put out.
@lono2094 I hear you brother. It was a 1971 VW beetle for me...same smell thought! This is in my opinion one of the GREATEST rock albums ever; period!
@ticklemepinke My boyfriend had a blue "67" fastback & I heard "Toys In The Attic" on his 8 Track for the 1st time while driving out to Hemet, CA..... Yes, those were the days....Muscle Cars & this new band that I had never heard before and instantly loved it!
@lono2094 i love when hearing music can bring you back to the good ole days. unfortunately, my generation is nothing special. songs nowadays will never last longer than a month and the memories of me smelling the pot is me hearing aerosmith alone cause my friends can't understand songs without laser's in em...those times must've amazing. I could care less if i have a portable computer, 3D TV, or a frikin hover car in my lifetime. I'd trade it all just for memories like that man
@GabeGuitarr It does bring back great memories but consider this,my generation (the seventies) wished we had the sixties music and thought the same as you do now.
Every generation will have something great come out of it musically.
To name a few after my generation Green Day, Metallica, Megadeth, etc.
You will have similar things happen to you, it might be an odor, a taste, a sound or a song that will jog your memory and put you right back to a certain place and time.
@lono2094 yeah i hear you man, it's just i see no promise in my generation. sure, maybe i'll look back and think "it wasn't that bad" but I'm uncertain. i just envy how great those times must've been when it was when the music was great and my favorite bands were in their prime. what i'm trying to say is that the music of today will never be as great. i really hope that maybe later in time things will change but i guess only time will tell.
@GabeGuitarr On second thought., I gotta agree with you. Just listened to Free Bird, hadn't heard it in a long time, cranked it up loud! I was totally surprised that everyone at home knew the song, down to my 9 yr old stepson. I guess some stuff will remain timeless............
Funny, I was on the bus heading to my senior class picnic when I first heard Rocks. Listened to that album all day long. Love the Smith. First four are classic, unforgettable, unbeatable albums. Thanks to Aerosmith I have something to listen to today as all the crap that passes for music today comes out. Aerosmith!!!!
OK, in the mid-70s a friend of mine said he knew the greatest group of all time, he had one of their albums. He opened a drawer of his bureau...and there it was, Toys in the Attic. By Aerosmith. We had no idea where they were from, but they had to be English, right? Who else would have a name like Aerosmith? Anyway, this soon became my favorite song of all from that tremendous album.
I was at some restaurant, and this song came on . When I heard it, my mouth just dropped in midchew, and hung open like I was mental. This song is SO EPIC and it is NEVER played anywhere so I went into physical shock.
besides same old song and dance...adam's apple was the second song I copied by Aerosmith...Adam's Apple sounds easy...I say it isn't when played like Mr. Perry and Mr. Whitford.
Well she ate it lordy it was love at first bite! The smith baby the greatest home grown rock and roll band ever! This album Toys in the Attic is a must have for any serious rocker one of the best of all time in my opinion.
where do you get this riff nowadays...really? Perry had it down. Tyler and his rhymes, always goes well with the riff. I miss this, when it wasn't all about someones voice, you had to know how to play, not like todays wanaBe's. Glad they made it though, only wish they would go back to what got them there. ;)
@Simon4642 true Simon, but it is what we make it, not what all just want to hear because it was good at one time. Todays music, can't believe I sound like my parents, todays music isn't original at all. Even back in this eara of music, they too ripped off of others, but the differance is they played their own instrements, where as today they wing it or play nothing to make music, clasics no less. Everyone thinks they should get something for nothing with no work for it. Wish I will for the nxtGn
hehehe what memmories... Another one of thier best ones. If only today there was a once of what went into making what it is, I would be happy. Glad I was around to see most of the great ones make history and not re-record it.
'Draw the Line', last GOOD album they made...before they sold out and started making 'bubble gum' music so they could sell music to 13 year old girls. Back in the day they didn't give a rat's ass what the critics said. They just made their music. I played Toys in Attic so many times I wore the damn thing out. Had to buy another. Great times....
I grew up in Worcester, Mass. in the 70's & 80's and Aerosmith was everywhere. They always had a unique sound of their own. No other band ever sounded quite like or did it quite like Aerosmith did it. Aerosmith remain the greatest American rock band to ever step foot onto a stage. No American band before or since has even come close.
Favorite Aerosmith song. I appreciate the sacrifices they made to the Drug Gods because after they sobered up their tunes went in the toilet. Dude Looks Like a Lady, really?
I graduated from Worcester Boys Trade High School class of 81.Was a member of the Ionic Ave Boy's Club Golden Gloves boxing team. Aerosmith was everywhere in New England when I was growing up. Aerosmith, no doubt, is greatest band to ever come out of Bawston.
I was at Aersomith a few months ago and they played all of toys in the attic! even you see my crying... first tiem they ever played it live ever! love it!
Evil came like rain
And who knows who's to blame
And something tried to lay her to waste
And all she want to need was just a little taste... So she ate it

Aero bent on '70s excesses was a wild ride of raucous raw rock 'n' roll. A sober 'smith just doesn't cut it from the creative side.
