I think they cancelled it at a good time too. Too many shows nowadays just keep going on until the plot finally unravels and you wonder why you still keep watching it (*coughlastseasonofKNDmoodwhiplashcough*).

@Makeavelli741 I agree that Spongebob is getting old now. Ever since series 5 it started to go downhill. The current new episodes suck so bad I can't think of another definition because that'd make it sound better. Only 1 new episode made me laugh as much as the old ones and that was the Sandcastle one.
I love Ed Edd N Eddy though and it ended on time in the best way. It's my 2nd favorite cartoon of all time next to the Cramp Twins(I'm sure a lot of would disagree)

EEnE was the last great show to come out of its millenium, because it was a great show without all the sex and booze and bad influences mainstream shows have. And its all true. Nowadays, even CHILDRENS' cartoons have sexual innuendo in them.
EEnE stopped just in time to avoid being sucked into all of that.

There is a fine line between canceling a show too soon, while it's still good, and making a show drag out so long that even the diehard fans are sick of it (*coughSpongeBobcough*). Your other point is correct, too; the fact that people feel the need to put adult subjects in shows for children is just sad. And although having no more new Ed Edd n Eddy episodes is sad, it's probably for the best.

@Legoking45 Parental bonuses have always been added into cartoons, even a handful in Disney Pixar movies. Usually they're disguised well enough that the children can't get them. I can't count how many times I was confused by innuendo in a show as a kid and then grew up to re-watch them and say "oh, so that's what that was about." Also, EEnE had some of this as well even from earliest episodes. What about Eddy's magazines? ;P

I fucking cried at the end of the movie. I love this show so much. I will never get these times back. Watching this show during the summer with my cousins as my parents wondered why I thought it was funny. I'm actually getting teared up right now. I'm not kidding.
