They devaluate because of the lack of demand. The rich only buys the best. If a car is not the best than it will not sell. Japanese cars are cheap to begin with and those who wish to sell them always want to get the most out of them. 40 to 50 years from now all the Japanese cars will be worth nothing and not a soul would want one. European cars shall always win in the end.

@AirsoftGamesCanada Be that as it may how many will be around in 40 to 50 years though. Most of those tuners are brand new. Hardly any will make it over 20 years old.

@bmwfan4lyfe lol, I wasn't trying to say that the 3 owns the competition, I meant that the 3 series was the best as far as sales numbers are concerned... You're right, it is a matter of opinion though

Nice car just brought my 96 4.4 to Mallorca ! Best car BMW made by far owned one in 94 then in 99 got a 98 Just got a 96 4.4 because for the last 6 years tried many Mercs, Astons, etc and nothing drove as good as the 8 ! Drove to Barcelona non stop and wanted to carry on jaust a pleasure ! This is the only car i have ever bought 3 times ! Would love the CSi but i am lazy and like autos ! see you around as i know of only 1 more on the island

@bmwfan4lyfe You were not raised poor were you? a good 90% of the population can only dream of this car. The very best BMW ever made is the 3 series. The one to fill the status Quo on it's own is the 507 roadster from 1955 IMHO

@heatfilter You do know that this car flop on the market and is now very cheap. I was able to find one for 6000. But once they hit classic that price might double.

@777TheJoe Funny how European vehicles are supposed to be the best and finest but devaluate worse than Japanese vehicles. Only rare vehicles are ridiculously priced. You can buy a Used Rolls Royce for under 10,000 dollars now in days too and those will be worth a lot in 40 or 50 years.

Actually, there is an M8, but it was only a prototype , so only one was made

@tkfreak1 The Csi version was made by Bmw Motorsport. If you look at the engine you can read this: Powered by ///M. There is no "M8" but the M8's name is "850 Csi" :-)
