I think that the One Piece is presenting a lesson and won't be ACTUAL treasure at all!!! It will be what you yourself most desire as the greatest treasure of all. It is saying that what make ssomething special is that it is believed to be special. Or the hat the King of the Pirates wore and that Shanks wore and gave to Luffy would be one of the possibilities of why the entire story is called One Piece. Because of the Straw Hat that went through a lot of dangerous adventures, it could be the ONE!

This is actually supposed to be a very happy moment but no one really undestood that this wasn't supposed to be bitterly cried. His only part that lives on is his heart and soul, even when the body was damaged or destroyed, he accepted te journeys dangerous acts and responded the same way all Straw Hat members did. He was the only crew member who actually died in the entire series. Merry was a spirit and a caraval ship. He isn't ignored and now lives on in the body of the great Thousand Sunny.

@K1kuch1 Well, Merry is now living on, still having his heart and soul as an angel spirit and a crew member in the Thousand Sunny He wasn't the ship and he couldn't leave it unless the ship was destroyed. When it was he decided that he needed to transform into a newer version of himself. He was a spirit of God wo was always watching over the crew. This explains the snow. The frosted tears of ash!
