It seems so obvious to me. People who play video games do love film. Why else would so many gamers subscribe to Netflix? It is my opinion that a film that is tied to a triple A video game franchise would do incredibly well if it was timed to be released just 60-90 days before the games release.
I was at his panel. I wanted to ask why there isn't more convergence between film and interactive video game entertainment. It is my opinion that the industry has it all wrong and could benefit greatly from a timed release platform in which the film industry attaches itself to triple A video game titles rather than the other way around. The mechanics of trying to make a video game out of a film franchise is flawed simply by the development time of interactive entertainment.
