It's an Anglerfish, like in Finding Nemo. Fish are attracted to its "flashing light" and before they know it they are devoured. It's a pretty cool metaphor for the initial allure of fame and the paparazzi which turns into a destructive force in the end

@musiczing if i was at her concert and this song came on (and i like this song) i would not be able to enjoy it cuz i'd be too distracted with the monster on stage. i get the symbolism, but i'm saying there's so much over the top symbolism that i can't enjoy the music itself. like when she did this song on mtv, the blood thing totally distracted people from enjoying the music. she just needs to learn when symbolism is appropriate and when its a total distraction.
