  • rip both

  • Andrew died?...damn...don't take this the wrong way anyone....but his music lives on forever...mine lives on in my basement/studio...and NOT my parents house...he was great

  • I never tire of listening to this song. Especially watching her perform it live. Linda is unbelievable. Beautiful voice and look at those eyes! RIP Andrew and Kenny.

BTW..that's Dan Dugmore on the other lead guitar. He played guitar and pedal steel for Linda for many years.

  • @Lindafan21 Kenny died too? damn...nice call on Dan...

  • @Dukabor I have so many live Linda performances from the 70s and it was always a given that Andrew and Kenny were at her side. I corresponded with Dan a few times last year. Very nice man. He even sent me his CD called "Off White," his acoustic tribute to the Beatles White Album. He played all the instruments and covered each song beautifully.

  • Both Andrew Gold and bassist Kenny Edwards have left us, and both due to cancer. Too, too sad.

As regards Andrew's musical talents however, and perhaps ironically, despite growing up in a house full of classically trained musicians, he couldn't read a note!! LOL!! Yet he could play any string instrument by ear, and was a pretty fair percussionist. I've always been fascinated by that sort of "wild" talent that defies all logic.

  • Who sings better than Linda Ronstadt?

  • I would bang Linda hard in her 1975 version! c=

  • Very sad about Andrew Gold. Wish I could go back to 1975!

  • Yeah......who is the other guitar player? Kind of looks like Randy Meisner, but I have only seen him play bass and do not know if he played 6 string guitar.

  • Love it...Who is the other guitar player??

  • where's Waddy???

  • @GroffinTiffin ....Waddy did not join Linda's band until some time in late 1976

  • Andrew was a gift to us...R.I.P. thanks for all the music

  • I never knew that Andrew was Marni Nixon's (and Ernest Gold's) son until I read it in his obituary.

    Now that's a musical family

  • RIP, Andrew

  • Thanks for this. Tomorrow is the anniversary of Andrew's birth.

  • So sweet. I guess I need to read the paper more cuz I just found out today that Andrew Gold passed away at the beginning of June. I feel kind of old today.

  • Only found out today that Andrew had passed away,I saw him with Linda at the Birmingham Odeon all those years ago,God bless old chum RIP

  • flawless

  • Remember when singers performed LIVE and still sounded like their recordings?

  • So sorry about Andrew :.-(

  • I saw Andrew open for Linda in fall of 76 in G Rollie White Coliseum, always liked this guitar solo.

  • RIP Andrew Gold

  • RIP Andrew Gold

  • Queen of Rock & Roll!

  • Linda looks so gorgeous here. I mean just looks at those eyes. And she even rocks out to this song! Yeah!

  • Hi,

Saw Linda with Andrew Gold at the New Victoria in London many years ago! Only seems like yesterday, even went right past her door when in the states. The best of the best!

  • Thank you! Linda is so good its scary. As always a great band playing with her too.
