@aaronon No you can't remove the lens on the SX30 so it isn't a DSLR. The Olympus will probably take better shots

Although the HD 720p and power zoom are impressive, I won't buy this camera for 2 reasons:

1) it won't come with a lens hood

2) not support AA batteries

great image stabilization but what the hell??? bad image quality, no slot for aditional flash???? so, i remember that the canon powershot SX1 IS was able to support an ACTUAL fisheye lens, not just make a fake fisheye effect. Would i be able to buy any separate lenses that i could fit on this camera too in order to get even more wide-angle photography?

@AjpDns1200 This camera supports the newly-developed SDXC memory card format which is now being rolled out, and cards are due to be released in sizes up to 2TB

@WhichWebsite Ahum, SDXC has a theoretical 2TB size limit. The cards are nowhere near the consumer market. Probably not even in the near protoype phase. Only Toshiba has developped a technology which might be capable of this feat. So don't get your hopes up yet.

@chrisw443 If you are just looking for video, then probably better saving up for the 550 as it is significantly better. What you won't get is the massive zoom, for that you will have to pay quite a bit for an extra lens on the 550
