I recently started watching a lot of doc and readings on "Marijuana" and smoking pot, I mean sampling it to really see if there are any benefits, I can admit I was wrong in my previous post. I think pot should be legalized only for medical purposes. With that said still it should not be for recreational.

I know a friend who has constant migraines, and is in constant pain and is VERY debilitated because of it. He needs something to control the pain in order to live a normal life, but he lives in a state where Marijuana is illegal.
He has been suicidal for the last few months and his mood has been going down a lot, despite seeing a therapist.

LSD was used for psychotherapy for years before becoming illegal. Legalizing marijuana would have no effect on these drugs, which the FDA has already examined very fully. Feel free to read up on your history in the future.
@stan3leman Cocaine already IS a prescription drug (admittedly not very commonly, but it is used for nasal and lacrimal duct surgery). In fact, PCP and meth are also prescription drugs. All three are considered LESS ILLEGAL than weed. They give meth to kids with ADHD.

@lestephenois1 Actually its not, Ganja is the dried flower of the cannabis plant.. Hashish(when made right) is almost pure THC. Coca(cocaine) plants are legal to grow and consume, but once you start pressing it(concentrating it) it becomes illegal. Same for poppy seeds(heroin).
Im not saying hash is bad, just that that's the rational behind it being under a different classification.

@mrfrosty8172 That's not entirely true. Legal in the Los Angeles does not mean legal in California. Los Angeles has a terrible deficit and they're looking at the taxes as a way to recoup some of the loss.
Also, Ron Paul was a terrible candidate. As a libertarian myself, he would have f'd so much other stuff. Doing that just for legalization is dumb. Always research your candidates before you back them.

@CrimnsonZ Apart from being totally wrong you make a good point, it's just not suitable to me as i have tried most drugs around and i continue to do so. My earlier comment still stands. Anyone who cheers when someone mentions drugs is immature and they possibly think it's "cool" to do drugs, hence they make their opinion known when they get a chance, such as when someone mentions drugs on tv, and they can go "woohooo" ~translation~ "i do drugs, see how cool i am?"

@CrimnsonZ And those people are probably the most at risk with drugs, because they don’t show enough respect to them. Drugs are like the ocean, beautiful and fun and amazing but can also be very, very dangerous. And it's people with the wrong motivations or the wrong considerations that end up in serious, sometimes fatal trouble, with drugs.

@lestephenois1 Actually its not, Ganja is the dried flower of the cannabis plant.. Hashish(when made right) is almost pure THC. Coca(cocaine) plants are legal to grow and consume, but once you start pressing it(concentrating it) it becomes illegal. Same for poppy seeds(heroin).
Im not saying hash is bad, just that that's the rational behind it being under a different classification.

@mrfrosty8172 That's not entirely true. Legal in the Los Angeles does not mean legal in California. Los Angeles has a terrible deficit and they're looking at the taxes as a way to recoup some of the loss.
Also, Ron Paul was a terrible candidate. As a libertarian myself, he would have f'd so much other stuff. Doing that just for legalization is dumb. Always research your candidates before you back them.
