It looks like ref is signaling a 3, but that's wrong: "a ball that is thrown into a team's OWN goal from behind the three-point arc scores three points, regardless of whether the thrown ball was an actual try for goal." There would be no reason to say "own goal" if it didn't matter which goal. College rules are clear that a field goal into the opponent's basket is worth two points. NBA rules are in the middle but seem to indicate that it would be worth just two points, too.

i really admire americans on their sport infrastructure. i mean, it's only a high school and their play high school league games in fantastic sport venues. not only basketball, but nfl, baseball (i guess) and others...
i'm from serbia and here every 10th elementary or high school have sport hall. yes, and we kick asses in almost every sport. fuck yes :D
currently it's international senior handball euro champs and we're in semifinals. volleyball euro champions... not to mention waterpolo... BRE!
@blasterskv This gym is in a relatively new, very nice school, so it isn't indicative of the entire country, but I do agree that high school sports in the U.S. are very well organized and well funded.
