This film came out right before Christmas, 1950 so of course the theaters ran it during Christmas vacation. It was the first time I had even seen some of the early cowboys: Tom Tyler, Tom Keene or Corrigan. It was probably one of Roy's best movies before he left Republic in 1951. A real nostalgic Yuletide treat for us Front Row Kids.
I'm a big Roy Rogers fan and have been trying to see all his films for years. I knew about this one but could never find it until a recent search turned it up at Netflix. It must be the only B-western ever made with a Christmas theme!
Thanks so much for putting this on the internet! It really should be more well known by the public. I've never come across it on TV, nor at any store on VHS or DVD. It was, though, part of the Christmas collection in the 16mm film rental catalogs of the 1980's.
