today is a sad day, licitra died. i absolutely love this version---the opening scene where father and daughter play hide and seek is so memorable. the movie was a let down in some parts, like when ricci tries to sing. depp, whom i really like, had an ineffectual part. blanchett and tutorro were great. but it was the opening scene and music that got me.
