ARE VIDEO GAMES BAD? How video games affect your mindset

I personally believe that they are just some things we do not have control over. If someone ALWAYS watched scary, gruesome movies...they may think.."Oh this has no effect on me" BUT what if it does? What if its effecting your mind in way you can see? My mother use to sing me a song when I was little, and it went like this. "Oh be careful little eyes what you see, Oh be careful little ears what you hear, Oh be careful little mouth what you say" I truthful believe that everything we do effects us.

When i play violent games my mission is to beat the game to be honest. I know there have been cases of teens that wind up criminals because they were influenced by games, music etc. Some people are weak minded and have a "monkey see monkey do" personality. I understand that they are violent and gory, but still you have to be a huge moron to go and act out in real life what you see in a game. Same goes for movies...
