This song is kinda cheesy... but I know what you're getting at. The point I made on my video was that I found it ironic that the SuperMAN just so happened not to be a man at all, but an alien. I think in this day and age it's a potent metaphor for how unattainable the Superman Status is for anyone who is seeking it.

Well, OK. I do think that anyone can be a 'Super' BEING. It just depends on what that person's idea of Super is. I agree with what I think you mean, however. My idea, though maybe I didn't express it in my little anthem here (lol), is that being 'Super' doesn't require an iconic status. Mainly, a being who is courageous by remaining true to their own heart,is 'Super' to me. Thanks for your comments. John

I agree! I prefer him just as hes described in the song..THE superhero, not a spider-man clone to make him "relevant" which didnt work in superman returns by having him stalk loise lane and have all these problems.

I concur. He is, as my song points out, an 'unintentonal" hero. He Is THE MAN, and the IDEAL to which a definition of a Super Person might be held. As Dad 'Jer-El" pointed out to him, that even though he was raised by humans ...he was not one of them. Therefore, observation of the scenarios in which he finds himself entrenched from time to time, are just that ."observstions" of a SUPER MAN in a NON-SUPER (human) environment .....Earth. And THAT is how he should be portrayed on the screen. JHP
