The Russian's really did a great design job on the M-21, one of the best interceptor aircraft in my opinion. If the Vietnamese had let their pilots use their own discretion in the Vietnam War instead of being handcuffed to whatever ground control told them, there would have been a hell of a lot more F-4's shot down. What the Mig-21 lacks in a turning fight, it makes up for in speed.
