@rosrychaplet I did see the doctor and she said I didn't have Strep. It was Tonsilitis and that there's no way she can give me antibiotics for tonsilitis because it just doesn't help. She said I would have to let it ride out. However, the tonsilitis has turned into a fully developed cold. Now I have to ride out this cold. Just one surprise after another.

@jnyerere I used to get strep and my tonsils would literally bleed. Best to see your doc and get on antibiotics for the virus and extra strength tylenol for the fever. Drink 7 up or coke for the irritation in the throat because non carbon drinks seem to be more uncomfortable when used. Hope you recover quick!

I believe that tonsils are the natural source of protection against bacteria. So when they get to the point where they need to be taken out...you get sore throats less often...but they are a lot more painful when you do get them (personally)
