as much as im a die hard sega genesis fan,i must say,the ending theme is one of the best ending themes i ever heard in the snes.this,My Lover from Revenge of Shinobi and Gunstar Heroes have The Best Music ever.
@bonk18bonk Your description doesn't match up with the material. The president of the enemy nation suicides in his office, regardless of which ending you're destined for. The badass puppetmaster Beldark, driving his super-suit, refuses to surrender, and presumably dies when you destroy his suit to finish the game. The sad ending in Cybernator mentions the president, but had me confused because the localization didn't have the scene it was referring to.
theres a part when ur running and theres like a big robot attacking the bulidngs around you u have to defeat him or he will rape ur girlfriend in the end.
@LoserBo1 I never got that impression, probably because said robot's member is nearly as big as the battleship your girlfriend works on, and to get the ending that (I think) gives you that impression, you need to screw up in a way that doesn't involve the big robot.
I believe the secret good ending message after the credits says something like "deep space search team... answer". It keeps repeating that phrase. Creepy! Maybe it's a preview of Target Earth, since TE takes place after AS Valken.
search for "VALKEN BAD" on Youtube. フキng Youtube won't let me post a link. The real damnable piece of that is that it says "comment posted" whenever I try to. (Even if you don't know katakana, you can probly figure out that word.)
@IbukiSF3 It's out of date though. While Youtube still won't allow links in comments, at least it says "Error, Try Again" now. I also made it back in the day when I could rate 5/5 stars instead of just "liking" your vid.
to get the alternate ending, you need to fail a secondary mission objective. For example, do not destroy the asteroid's engines, letting it crash. Letting the shuttle get away on the following level is another one.
Both one of my favorite SNES games and favorite game soundtrack of all time. I used to use the gamegenie to warp to the last level just so I could listen to both of the end themes.
I knew there was a bad ending but I forgot how to find it. I don't remember but I think if you let something get away or something bad then after the game is beaten, I think the bad ending shows up. I could be wrong.
@Eponimaru Lol I don't know but it does sound like it right? Either Megaman or perhaps Castlevania like Rondo of Blood.

As you know, games are always released
in their country of origin before released in the US.
The original Japanese title to this game was translated
into "Assault Suit Vulcan". Although the game is fully titled
"Cybernator: A.S.V". The "bad" ending consisted of the final
boss coming out of the suit and shooting himself in the head.
Before being released, the rating regulations here said "No no".
Therefore re-releasing the USA version with a different ending.
Hope that cleared it up a bit=)

Screw the Final Fantasies, this is still the greatest SNES game ever made.

@tehkao Yeah! Screw Final Fantasy, YEAH YEAH!

@tehkao I must respectfully disagree: AS Valken is the best SNES game ever made (stupid localizers...)

Anyone want this game? I have a copy with the box for sale!

Ya know, it's annoying how that excellent piece of dramatic music cuts off so abruptly at around 2:30. It should've faded out at least!
Oh well, this soundtrack is incredible. Even the staff roll music is brilliant. SNES music FTW!

This and Target Earth for the Genesis were two of my favorites- but oh man, that difficulty level... yikes.

Konami did not make this game they only brought it to the states. It's name is not even Cybernater. It's a long story.

The way to acheive the bad ending is not to stop the Arc Nova going down and not destroying its engines (Level 3).
Or Not stopping the troop shuttle at the end of Level 5.

Go through the first level, and do not destroy the Boss. Finish the rest of the game to see the failed ending.
