fucingpwnz0rz, I hate to break it to ya, but stock miatas are nowhere near stock mustangs. Being that i've owned both, i have every right to say so. On windy roads and such, the miata will dominate, but a mustang in the straight will leave the miata in the dust. Putting a V8 in there doesnt throw off the balance that much. read up on them, you'll find out a v8 can actual make the car much better. to each their own I guess?

i know its called a "monster miata"....they did put a V8 in one and it rocks...check it out.

this company that makes custom built miatas with V8's and they have been doing it for years.

Actually, free revving is never good for an engine. ICE's are designed to combust properly under "load", not while just spinning the flywheel. Crank, rods, piston rings, etc. are all carefully designed/weighted to withstand a certain stress.
