  • This complete short is now uploaded, come check it out and prepare for the Yuuhzan Vong & more Lightwhip action in the sequels.

  • @ DarkraiGiratina :

The lightwhip isn't fraying. It's a multi-strand whip, which just shows the creativity and brilliance of the post production guys. It's an awesome idea. I would never have thought of doing a multi-strand whip. Love it guys ...

  • The person who disliked this was the one without a whip lightsaber.

  • was sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet

  • I blinked and the man fell over.

  • Nice. its better than mine. how long did it take you?

  • That was sweet

  • Sorry but a lightwhip doesn't have a lightning-like look to it. I noticed how the first clip shows it fraying.

Lightwhips don't do that, Star Wars nerd mate ;)

Pretty cool though. Can never find good tests online. Always wanted to do a lightwhip before though.

  • @DarkraiGiratina Im the director of this short. Lightwhips have never been shown in any official moving media, prove me wrong. There have been a times where Luke was fighting Lumiya and the whip gave off a jaggedy-random-lightning bolt style look, and sure enough, as you should know, there are instances where a whip is depicted exactly as a saber's blade is. So if one contradicts the other, which do you choose? The Star Wars EU basically fights with itself at times!

  • @WanderingSpiritProd any official moving media would include youtube right? in that case, ForcePowerStudios beat you to it. Check it out.

  • @60FPSFX No, not a YouTube vfx test. Lightwhip has been in comics, graphic novels, but no games or SW Movies, Clone Wars series or anything. In our teaser short, we had the first ever Lightwhip in a Star Wars Fan-film, however short the sequence was. We are however producing a feature length-fan film that will knock the socks off the choreography in the movies...

  • Good job!!

  • It looks sooooo god! CAN't Wait to try it!

  • it seems no one knows what a preview is.. how can you just insult? go look at your mother's ass and see if you can find something good there..

  • Also you can pause it to see the whip i giggled at 0.01

  • i'm guessing your going to be looking at the same thing with the lightsabers adding some expression or something in and then add more glows or something

  • What camera used to record?

  • @litozh 7D i think

  • it was good but waaaaaay too short.

  • Awesome.

  • Fast cuts.... I could barely see the VFX...

    pretty sucky effect,,,,

  • @neivin93 sorta why its called a preview? :L

  • @NHShaynne A preview shows off the effect not just the editing.... you can barely see anything in this...

  • @neivin93 well in my opinion this would make someone want to watch the actual thing so they can take a better look at it. hes gotta market his videos man

  • @NHShaynne Star Wars :Recluse Forces release in a few weeks. Facebook us!

  • @neivin93 D: try watching a Michael Bay movie, this is turtle paced in comparison.
