  • Most useless how-to ever. DON'T do this at home.

  • I used the soap stuff on my records and they came up a treat. Thing is i had over 100 to do :(

  • so wait, do i pour the soap and water on my face? I'm confused.

  • Not professional enough, dude.

  • thank you I never could figure out how to use soap and water

  • wouldnt let you near my vinyls

  • HAHAHAHAHAHA dats good sniff

  • that was kind of entertaining at least

  • well that's 1:03 minutes of my life I will never get back....no....yes...make up your mind man!

  • record cleaner is alcohol based isnt it? mabey you should use your vodka stash instead of drinking it

  • @SupraWes yep!!

  • yeah man water is funny :D

    *snicker* 0:44

  • what an idiot...

  • I use Pledge...works pretty good.

  • This video should be entitled 'How to mix Soap and Water in a bucket' lol

  • perdon, pero que sentido tiene postear un video de como hacer algo que no va a funcionar bien???

  • ummm WTF? If it's not gonna works as good as the real record cleaner then why post this ridiculous video? Tap water which has minerals in it and low levels of chlorine & then dish washing liquid!?!?! Just smash the records on the ground instead.

  • Someone please make an endless GIF from 0:10 - 0:12!

  • OMG!, I never thought I was going to laugh sooo much with a "how to clean vinyls" video. Is the fourth one of this guy I watch and I still don't know how to clean them, haha. Keep it up dude! (Also remember that videos can last more than 1:30mins)

  • Have you tried the super glue method ? first apply large amounts of super glue to the record and leave to dry, then glue the stylus to the record this will ensure a dust tight seal and your record will never get dirty again. thank you for your attention and good luck

  • i fucking hate dee jays they ruin all their stuff if i ever see them using a beatles record i will stab them

  • look, i'm an amatuer record collector; any of my new records don't need to be cleaced and have no scratches because i am careful with them, but my secondhand ones aren't in great nick. can anyone tell me where i can learn how to make an effective cleaner myself, just until i buy a professional solution? that's all i want. most of my records are 12", 331/3 and 45rpm. I do have a few 7"s too.

  • @SChique00 What I've done is used luke warm water from the sink and a little bit of dish washing liquid. Be sure that the water pressure is very gentle and try not to wet the label. Wet the vinyl and apply the dish soap by squirting small amounts directly on the record. Gently scrub using the flat surfaces of your index and middle fingers. I usually do it in sections. Do it quickly and rinse quickly. Be sure it's throughly rinsed and then place the record on a soft clean dry towel and let dry.

  • can anyone tell me if just using rubbing alcohol will work or if it will damage the record in any way.

  • This guy is a DJ, not a collector. Most DJ's tear up their records ............ WARNING WILL ROBINSON !! DON'T try this on your valuable collection! There are websites online for tips on record cleaning, most of which prescribe a cleaning machine. Just as your car needs oil, and oil is cheaper than metal, so the record cleaning machine is cheaper than ruining your collection!

  • i wouldn't try that technique on my 1st issue of yesterday and today. he also didn't warn them not to do that with 10'/78 rpm shellac records. bad job! anyway how do people clean a 78 anyway?

  • I just blow the dust off with the air compressor. Maybe wash them with distilled water and a drop of dish detergent if they're really bad.

  • NEVER EVER EVER even try to wash 78s with ANYTHING WET! If ANY water gets at them, they'll be RUINED! and for a recording medium that's quite rare and hasn't been made for 60+ years, you dont want to screw around.

Vinyl 78s (1950s era), 33s and 45s can be cleaned with water and/or alcohol though, just as long as you dry them thoroughly before playing them, you could destroy your stylus, and it wouldn't do the LP any good either.

And who bets that guy in the vide was high? lol

  • Be careful when you are cleaning 78 rpm,s!!! Alcohol may damage your old 78 rpm records!!!

  • alcohol will ruin 78's, water will ruin them too.

  • Thank god sometimes you don't know where are the products or you don't want to buy it

  • Wow, he did research on that! I can make that myself, waste of time!!!!!

  • this man is fucken hot!!!

  • Anyone experienced in using record cleaning solutions will probably agree, the first few plays sound "better". There are many scientific reasons why this is so, and then rapid increase of noise and distortion after about the 3rd play. First, the dirt is relocated in the grooves.. it's still there, and will find its way back to where the stylus contacts the groove walls. Secondly, any lubricant mutes the noise (softer clicks and pops) and also mutes the overall fidelity. Hope this enlightens!

  • The "professional" record cleaning solutions usually contain some form of lubricant. The record will in fact usually play with less noise. Here is what actually happens: The silicone lubricant reduces overall fidelity, a slightly more muted sound. The lubricant residue and dirt still in the grooves will accumulate on the stylus forming sludge! After 2 or 3 plays, the lubricant wears off, resulting in a noisier play than ever before. This encourages further "cleaning", the cycle never ends!

  • the profesional disc cleaner is 75% distilled water, 25% denatured alcohol, and a drop or 2 of photo-flo

  • i just bought 20 beatles albems for 7 bucks with the covers!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i found it at a yard sale!!!!!!!!!!! they are like 15 of hey jude uhm a few of yellow submarine and like 1 or 2 of please please me i also got like a buch of vh acdc aerosmith billy idol every thing too!

  • what? just water and soup? heres mine recipe: 1 tea spoon of dish soap and two table spoons of 95% alcohol (doesnt metter if its ethanol or ezoprophanol, as long as they are in water, dont use Absinthe or something crazy like that) and adding it to just enough water (purified) so the recond could totaly sink in. leave it there for a minute or so, and while doing so use a very fine brush to take out any dint that might got there. then, put it in water+dishwasher shiner or agapon\photo flo.

  • 1 part denatured alcohol & 2 parts distilled water. used it for a long time w/ no problems. leaves a nice shine

  • LOL, too funny. It's guys like this that make youtube ! He should go on America's got talent and do this. lol

  • big fucken deal if he is stone...hey have you ever try window cleaner like windex it works really good as will :)

  • That probably destroys the records over time. Rubbing alcohol does, and Windex is much harsher.

  • I think he's been drinking the stuff.

  • LOL!

  • and where can you buy a real record cleaner ?

  • Look on the internet for a record cleaner, particularly one with out alcohol.

  • google is your friend. non-alcoholic is the best way to go.

  • crack is bad for you kids

  • you fu*&ing faggot

  • Dude, are you stoned?

  • work it, work it baby mcshines. gizmo's privates are blowing my mind. take inside, then say goodnight. taste gizzard's pleasure till the morning light.

  • Didn't actually intend to comment; I was just having fun with the audio preview.
