Whether or not there is a prehistoric animal in the loch is somewhat irrelevant. I mean, it would be exciting to find a plesiosaur or a Basilosaurus down there, but it is unlikely. However, I wouldn't rule out the possibility of a particularly large eel or fish species that is native to Scotland.
