I actually owned this since it was released on the old website. It's still in flawless condition with the rest of my Silverchair related stuff. To clear things up, according to the books "Tomorrow Never Knows" and "A New Tomorrow", ICBINR was written and recorded by accident after the Neon Ballroom tour. After it came out, they took it live for a short period, aired a few songs on TV, and then there were talks about them forming an actual band but they weren't sure yet at the time. Hence Disso

I had to contact Paul Mac on his facebook or myspace page (can't remember which) and he gave me info to order the disc from Australia. Very hard to find. Dissociatives have a page on one of those two websites and all the songs are downloadable.

Brilliant. This was actually in 2004. Daniel can still hit the same notes, but now he has a potential to sing more aggressively. Watch Beyond the Great Divide shows, then you'll realize the error in your thinking.

yeah it was 2000 i believe. late 00 maybe early 01. he wrote this stuff with paul mac after the NB tour and before writing diorama. on the show you can even tell, he looks like a mix of NB daniel and 01 daniel. too bad we didn't get to see too much of that ; )

i'm a massive fan of chair & when i first got this album i think it was one of the best decisions he made, took time off & explored new avenues. i too wish they went further with this stuff, sure they did the dissociatives stuff but i like the icbinr stuff better coz it's still got a bit of a rougher sound. dis & young modern just sounds to polished generic pop but it still has it place in a way. nb will still always be my favourite though.

I heard "Rain" for the first time a couple of days ago, and I love everything else ICBINR has made. I wish they would have taken it further. I love Silverchair; but I love different kinds of music including trip-hop and electronica, and I feel that this is a mix between the two. I absolutely love this. I love the unique sound of this song. It's a shame that most 'chair fans refer to Paul Mac with anger rather than appreciation. He really allowed the group to grow beyond the grunge sound they first used. Hell, I even consider Paul a bandmate now since he was a chief songwriter for a few songs so far like "If You Keep Losing Sleep" (that was even a Dissociatives B-Side before it landed on Young Modern).
